Upgrade, sadly the cpu was defective as would not work with the motherboard. Old cpu was (and is still) working but son really wanted this for his birthday. Therefore have bought another which is amazing and requested refund. Sadly the seller whilst having authorised the return, has not replied to communications and despite the item having been signed for their end, has not processed any refund. The product warrants a 5 all round but customer service is not so great.

I originally ordered this off of google shopping as it was onsale, and it came in and didnt work and smelled like a burnt match. So I went to amazon and purchased this one, and it was perfect. Great value for the performance!

The cpu is great. i use it in my budget build and it can even be used in some higer end builds.

I used to be an AMD buyer but gravitated to Intel for about 5 years. This Ryzen 5 3600 brought me back to AMD. I ended up buying two and a new X570 for the second one. Gaming is absolutely superb with this chip.
