AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Installing is as simple as slotting the pins into the slots, and pulling the locking lever up then down again. You need a 3rd party cooler device as the processor comes in an otherwise empty box. Im sure it says that somewhere or is just a known standard with AMD, but I wasnt expecting it.

I have no doubts this item would have been great for me. However something to note is the year you bought your b550. The manufacturer states it is compatible but if you got it September of 2020 it turns out thats about a month before they announced the release so remember to flash your bios. Plenty of guides on how out there.

Venditore onesto, mi ha fatto attendere circa una settimana per la spedizione ma appena gli sono arrivati mi ha chiamato e mi ha inviato il prodotto il giorno stesso ( mi ha fatto anche un altra proposta, ma ho rifiutato). Spedizione ricevuta tramite TNT non precisa con la posizione di tracciamento del prodotto, ma arrivato nei tempi previsti. Nel frattempo li ho ricontattati e mi hanno chiarito ogni dubbio sulla spedizione poco chiara ( non dovuta da loro). Prodotto nuovo, e da test fatti il processore è praticamente perfetto. Raffreddato con un artic freezer da 360 i picchi non superano i 75 gradi. I 12 core consentono di gestire tutto, streaming, giochi e software vari senza problemi o rallentamenti. Vale ogni centesimo degli oltre 500 euro spesi questo processore.

I hate AM4 socket because you can easily bent the pin. The title state that they are not created equal and here is the reason. When it is onsale, I bought one and MSI B550 motherboard. After many try and error, it took me 2 days to figure out the it is not working with dual channel memory but it will work as a single channel memory. I try multiple RAM brand ranging from 3200Mhz to 3600Mhz. Since it is not the memory, I thought it was the motherboard. So I bought another B550 motherboard from Asrock and it works great with dual channel memory on the Asrock motherboard. I was about to return the MSI motherboard and saw Amazon have this CPU onsale again so I decided to buy another one and use it with the MSI motherboard. To my surprise, the new CPU works great on dual channel memory on the MSI motherboard.

Installed the chip and couldnt get it to work. Updated bios, windows and all drivers still wouldnt work... upon inspection the chip had 3 bent pins throughout the board.

Bought this for my daughters computer build, primarily for graphics programs. Easy install, including the cooler (Corsair) for it. Powered it up and runs like a gem, especially for the price I paid. Would buy again!

Hot as hell though, get an aio water cooler

I bought this an an upgrade from my AMD Ryzen 7 3700x. The original one I bought from here last almost 5 months. No overclocking and plenty of cooling. The issue was, itd crash often during multiplayer games. Specifically multiplayer. Ive played for hours on Cyberpunk with settings high and it never stained the bed. When I hop on 7 Days to Die, Forza Horizon 4, and recently Vermintide 2 its a gamble on if itll stay on. So during play it would restart my system completely as soon as I join a session or Id get about an hour of play before it resets. No blue screen of death no error once I get to my desktop, think of it as if someone pressed the power button mid game and it just restarts. Ive deleted all my files, reinstalled windows (Props to the tech support guy from Microsoft sitting 3 hours with me to get windows reinstalled, youre in my prayers) AMD did replace my CPU for free (twice now) but still. Its frustrating to buy something new and for it to not work within the year of purchase, its another thing when your replacement doesnt within the 2 months of the RMA CPU. Im writing this because guess what? The awesome CPU did it again YAYYYY MORE MOVING MY PC AROUND AND TAKING OFF THE AIO AND BUYING MORE THERMAL PASTE AND REINSTALL MY OLD CPU, yes that legit anger. Like the title says, this review is specifically about the product and not the seller. I received the package nicely bubble wrapped and maybe it was cradled and told it was gonna grow up to be the best there ever was. Lord help me.

When on sale definitely pick this up! I purchased this at $389. MSRP is $570 so why wouldnt you pick this up? My only issue I have with it, that is with any AMD chip. It runs hot. Ive had a 2700x and a 5600x. Temps on those havent reached as high as this. Mind you I have a Noctua d-15 cooler and it still runs toasty (running on a b450 so maybe it will run a little cooler on a newer MOBO). More cores the better!
