My husband and I installed the wires and attached two 48 bulb light strings in about three hours. I did do some planning/layout work in advance. In general the kit is impressive and flexible and saves what is likely several trips to the hardware store. We only augmented the kit with a couple of items for our particular implementation - we wanted a thicker cable with a thicker plastic coating for the part that went around the tree to protect the bark more, supported by a couple larger hooks screws into the tree. Also, while we used the enclosed twist ties to attach each of the lights, I dont know if they will last - they are pretty light duty. We augmented with zip ties and added tape to the cable at the ends/turns to prevent sliding. As mentioned in some other reviews, we struggled getting the clamps on the wires because the holes were too small. Smart hubby used a 7/64ths regular drill bit on the holes and everything was easy after that... Probably a minor risk that the holes are no longer smooth and could cut into the vinyl coating after a while, but since they are clamped down now with the screws think it will be fine. The vinyl coated write cable and other accessories seem to be good quality.

They give these locking pieces but they’re too small to thread the wire through. Super annoying to get all set to do this project finally and now have to go get something else.

Don’t go cheap. I went this route thinking all cable was the same. Big mistake. 3 if 5 individual lines all broke. I used a crimp tool and they all would slip off. So then I crimped twice, causing it to break. Went with Niger from local hardware stores and has been holding up.

This thing is AWESOME. Im not mechanically inclined so when I saw all the pieces I was apprehensive. But this kit was EASY to install and adjust. I use mine outside to hang curtains. Its MARVELOUS

I loved the kit but the 1/16 wire snapped after 2 weeks of normal use.

Just wish the pics showed more, If I didnt know how it worked. Im sure someone else could have a problem.

The locking nuts eyelets are too small for the gauge of the wire. It is almost impossible to lace through the wire. It has taken me several minutes just to get through one eyelet. The rest of the equipment looks pretty good. Well see how it holds up to the weather if I can lace this thing.

Everything I needed to install 96 feet of string lights with plenty to spare. Do not overnighter - you arent building a suspension bridge.
