Arches Watercolor Pad, 9 x 12

I love the texture of Arches rough for watercolors. Excellent quality paper.

I didnt expect to like this paper as much as I do. I always though I liked smooth paper more but over time Ive been leaning more towards textured ones and this is pretty textured. It absorbs nicely and stays damp for a decent amount while working but if left alone drys reasonably fast too. Its a bit on the pricey side for the amount of sheets but the quality is worth it in my opinion. Plus I work kinda small so I cut the sheets in half or smaller. Havent had it too long to paint much on it but cant wait. Also if you have paints that granulate theyll look nice on this paper

I love arches. I am afraid to use any other paper. This is the first time I have tried the rough paper. I love it.

I have been using Arches for about 6 months after my art teacher insisted I left the cheaper papers behind me. I thought it was a teachers speech but she was so right. I started with arches cold press and immediately my work improved. I love texture so the hot press did nothing for me and I was happy with the cold press until one day I decided to try the rough....and I L-O-V-E it. I still go back to cold press sometimes (I have about 4or 5 books in my reaerve) but more and more I find myself painting in the rough.

Love Arches paper, good quality and product, started painting with a cheaper watercolor paper and now have started using this and love how the paper adds to refinement to my work.

I love this paper for watercolor painting. It gives pictures more life.

Thought Id give this a try....Unfortunately for me, this watercolor paper is a bit too rough...just wanted to give it a try...Will try some other techniques on this rough paper to see how it handles different degrees of wetness.
