20-12-2024As far as value and quality: the best!!! It is always a great choice! For beginners again Arches is wonderful. However, it is on the pricey side and I like having a variety of watercolor paper for practice.

16-12-2024My first time using Arches Rough paper. I love it. I like the absorbency, feel, and performance of the paper. It is higher end and the value is more, but if you want to improve you have to paint on better paper. There is no compromise.

> 3 dayIt was actually less rough than I expected and I was able to get interesting brush strokes on the paper. More so than Cold Pressed. It will not be my goto paper but when I want more textures, Rough workd great.

Greater than one weekArches is simply the best of the best and the biggest. Its hard to go wrong with any selection of arches and look at any watercolor forum, demonstration, or decent quality of work and well over 50% are using some form of arches. Its also really nice that they are consistently discounted by a substantial amount. The savings make the best paper almost as cheap as a common academic grade. Product was delivered by date promised, however, the third parties reselling the paper need to hop on the AMAZON train in regards to shipping. Amazon prime has me spoiled and waiting an extra 3-7 days feels like ages. But the price on amazon will be half that found at any local retailer and will be the cheapest online. Arches is the no brainer if you dont know what to pick but want something thats top quality, the absolute best value, and will last a lifetime. And for many. they probably didnt read this because they knew where to go to get the best deal on the good stuff.

> 3 dayThought Id give this a try....Unfortunately for me, this watercolor paper is a bit too rough...just wanted to give it a try...Will try some other techniques on this rough paper to see how it handles different degrees of wetness.

> 3 dayI buy this product and take it with me while traveling. I love Arches but I cant always afford a whole block of paper. Arches is an excellent watercolor paper especially for loose painting because I use a lot of water.
