> 3 dayMy 2012 MacBook Pro was overheating. I took it apart (definitely the hardest part of the process,) cleaned away the 10 year old heatsink paste, and replaced it with this MX-4 compound. Ill admit its confusing if you should just use a small blob of paste or spread it (it depends who you ask.) I figure the MX-4 probably comes with a spreader for a reason so I used it to spread a thin layer evenly on the CPU. I didnt do before and after temperatures but can report the MacBook hasnt overheated since so Im satisfied. Also you use such a tiny amount that I have enough left to do my PC and probably multiple other laptops from the one tube. Good value!
