Worked with ease to remove the balancer on a 2008 GMC Yukon. Definitely worth buying.

Definitely works as it should, my advice use a stack of washers because it will bottom out. Be sure to put a little oil on the threads and it will make putting the damper back on a breeze!

Removed harmonic balancer from 2001 PT Cruiser. Worked well. I did have to hold two of the jaws in place even after getting some tension on the bolt to keep them from popping off, but thats probably the case with any 3-jaw puller. Once you get it positioned correctly and hopefully you are using an impact gun, get your fingers out of the way and run the bolt in. Worked great. Seems to be sturdy and durable enough for DIY projects.

Worked but the rod bent might return it.

So, Im tearing down my LS motor. Using my old trustworthy 3 leg 1980ish puller, I attempted to pull the harmonic balancer and the puller broke! I was in disbelief. This thing has pulled many balancers in its life with flawless results. So I decided to google what others have used to pull their LS balancers with. One guy on youtube was using the ARES 71002 puller and said it was a must have. So I decided what the heck, for $30 bucks, what do I have to loose. Well show-nuff, I hooked this thing up and with a loud POP!! (that startled me), the balancer was sliding off. I remember in the video, the guy said it would make a loud POP, but forgot. Anyway, to sum up this review, I am very pleased with the performance of this tool. The threaded rod, puller frame and legs are heavy duty! The only issue I had was one of the stand off rods that was inserted into the crank now has a bit of an S curve to it. Other than that, this is the tool you need to pull that stubborn LS harmonic balancer!!
