ARES 71002 - Harmonic Balancer Puller Set - Remove Damper Pulleys in Tight Engine Compartments Without Removing The Radiator - Storage Case Included

This puller made quick work of remover the harmonic dampener on my ls motor. A must have tool for doing a cam swap.

Worked as advertised. Removed 20 year old harmonic balancer without a problem. Good tool for the money.

Removed harmonic balancer from 2001 PT Cruiser. Worked well. I did have to hold two of the jaws in place even after getting some tension on the bolt to keep them from popping off, but thats probably the case with any 3-jaw puller. Once you get it positioned correctly and hopefully you are using an impact gun, get your fingers out of the way and run the bolt in. Worked great. Seems to be sturdy and durable enough for DIY projects.

Really saved my bacon on a PT cruiser timing belt job.

Tried three other three prong pullers and this one worked. I like the kit and how well it can be stored. Nothing worse than needing something and parts cant be found due to family members moving things around in the garage. One case which will last a long time so much better than cardboard most others come in.

Did not work with a 4.7 dodge dakota. Had grind down the ends to make it slide in.
