> 24 hourIt was a great product up until recently. It’s been about 2 years and 8 months since I ordered two of these. Last month, the first one completely died. Plugged in with multiple cables, wouldn’t even turn on. Now the button appears to be stuck on the second one, meaning the menu is ALWAYS being scrolled through. I’ve tried closing it, cleaning around the button being pressed, pressing it from multiple angles to see if it was stuck. I’ve had cheaper monitors that lasted for triple the time I’ve had these. Support was useless when I contacted them and never responded to any of my emails. Embarrassing for a company like BENQ to still have these problems.

> 24 hourI had a 27 BenQ and bought this to pair with. After a month, Costco selling other brands were much cheaper.

> 24 hourI purchased this because I wanted a high-quality, light-weight display that was easy to transport for working trips when I go to visit friends & family. Works great with my Macbook Air allowing me to work from anywhere.

> 24 hourThis monitor is great, and its great as a secondary monitor. It doesnt look bad next to an expensive screen. If youre looking for an additional screen under 27 good luck. Retailers are full of 22-24 1080p monitors which look the same as the ones that came with an HP/Dell desktop in 2007. Most have huge bezels. Most have a single HDMI plug. Most have a power brick. And many of them dont even have HDCP so you cant watch Netflix on them. This monitor has a 100 mm VESA bolt pattern so you can put it on any arm. It takes a regular power plug — no power brick. It has HDCP. Its a good IPS panel. Black looks dark. Theres slightly less light bleed than my more expensive LG screens. It has slightly smaller bezels than my other screens. And it has two HDMI inputs, so its easy for me to use as an additional monitor for both my home machine and work laptop. The menus are easy to use and you can even setup shortcuts to put your three most-used adjustments on the first menu level. The speakers are worse than most — which is quite the feat when you think of how bad built-in monitor speakers are — but I dont care about that. The only slight annoyance I have is that you cant dim the light on the power button. But its on the bottom edge of the screen, so its easy to put a little piece of black tape over it. Of course that partially blocks those awesome speakers LOL. This monitor is a 21.5 1920x1080 panel, so thats 102.5 dpi/ppi (pixels per inch). The bigger you go the worse itll look next to a monitor with higher resolution. My other two monitors are a 38 3840x1600 LG ultrawide (109.5 dpi) and a 25 2560x1080 LG ultrawide (111.1 dpi). 21.5 BenQ GW2283 — sqrt(1920^2 + 1080^2) / 21.5 = 102.5 dpi 25 LG 25UM58 — sqrt(2560^2 + 1080^2) / 25 = 111.1 dpi 38 LG 38WN75C — sqrt(3840^2 + 1600^2) / 38 = 109.5 dpi The 25 LG 25UM58 is also a good deal. It currently costs 50% more than the BenQ for 33% more resolution. Its 75 hz, but I think the BenQ might actually have a better response time if youre gaming on it. And the 25 LG has a 75 mm VESA bolt pattern and a power brick.

> 24 hourI use this monitor to connect it to my work laptop through an HDMI cable, so I dont have to stare at a 13 laptop screen all day when working from home. The image on the BenQ monitor is not sharp. I can still read and I love the size (I can put 2 documents next to each other on the screen) but its just not as sharp as would be on my work laptop. Also as of a couple of days, the monitor goes to sleep when I shut the laptop closed, where is in the first week it would keep running which was great as I dont need my laptop open anymore when using the BenQ monitor, and it also preserved my laptop battery. Now BenQ just goes to sleep and I cannot wake it up so I can only work when laptop stays open. I didnt do any changes to the monitor settings so not sure what this is about.

> 24 hourSo I had a ViewSonic Monitor before that running 60hz and similar dimensions but the LED had apparently been broken. I wanted a new monitor and then I came across this one. Its nice and has a clean feel to it. Games still work and are smooth at 60hz but I never really had experiences with 75hz +. So 60hz is what Im use to and comfortable with. Anything lower than 60hz would not be consider good for gaming. Set up was very simple took me less than 5 minutes I didnt even need the setup guide to figure it out. Brightness is average I recommend turning up the brightness and contrast if you like well lit screens. Overall its a nice monitor if your looking for a replacement or looking to buy a brand new one.

> 24 hourTo start, you have to enable the automatic light adjustment before it actually will adjust itself. Since day one, the monitor adjusts perfectly in all lighting conditions from a pitch black room to the sun flooding the room with light. It does take a pinch to adjust to. At first it might seem like its too dim, but as you use it, youll notice its just right. Speakers... i mean if you have no other option, theyre there, cant get very loud at all but in a pinch would help you out. The best feature in my eyes quite literally is the lack of eye strain. I dont know exactly what causes it but I havent had it since I used this monitor. To give an example. On my old monitor, I could use it for even as little as one hour and suddenly would get this sensation like i just couldnt keep my eyes open. My eyes felt annoyingly sensitive to light and Id have to walk away or take a nap to let my eyes recuperate.

> 24 hourI felt my big 32-inch screen was burning holes in my eyes and dreaded coming to the office! This screen has made a huge difference. Though it is smaller, it is easier to face each day. The light is mellow, softer, and not painful. If you feel your screen is burning holes in your eyes, try this!

> 24 hourMy workstation consists of 4 monitors that I use to stare at charts and other small, fast moving data for hours at a time. Ive been getting headaches and having trouble focusing lately so I figured it may be time for an upgrade. I ordered one of these monitors to see if the eyecare technology was worth the hype. The difference in this display vs the 3 older ones I have is just incredible. The lighting is even and clean. I dont really know how to explain it but it just feels much more natural to look at. The issue Ive had with every monitor is probably the same as most people. I felt like I was always having to play with the brightness and contrast when bouncing back and forth between programs with a darker background and reading documents with a white background. This has solved that issue with its automatic light sensing and eyecare technology. The price is also spectacular for what this monitor offers. Ill be ordering 3 more to update the rest. Thanks BenQ! Update: Its been 7 months now with zero issues. Update: Almost a year now and still no issues. Also a small plus Ive noticed.. The plastic has a matte finish and is easy to clean. Other monitors Ive had start to look old quickly because the smooth plastic scratches easily while youre dusting it. Might not mean much to most people but Im a nut and thought it was worth mentioning.
