> 3 dayI felt my big 32-inch screen was burning holes in my eyes and dreaded coming to the office! This screen has made a huge difference. Though it is smaller, it is easier to face each day. The light is mellow, softer, and not painful. If you feel your screen is burning holes in your eyes, try this!

Greater than one week11-3-2020 --I had email and phone conversation with BenQ Customer support. None of their recommendations fixed the issue, which is that the screen goes black for 2 seconds 20X -40X a day. This monitor is used for Work, so in addition to being irritating, the situation is also disruptive, as I work from home like so many today, and in front of my monitor from 8am to 6pm. After none of the recommendations worked, they asked me to ship back the monitor in the original box - yeah, like i kept that box. I have NEVER in 20 years had this issue with a monitor. So the next option required, pack monitor up in a box so that no damage occurs during shipping, otherwise you are responsible for damage. They did send RMA slip. I suggested that they ship me a new replacement monitor (same model) and I would then ship back the current dysfunctional unit in that monitor packing box as an exchange. The ONLY option is to be without a monitor for who-knows-how-long and ship back to BenQ. I need a monitor of some type to do my job, so it is challenging to ship this unit back, and wait indefinitely for another monitor. (no timeline was given for how long to determine issue, etc) . If you choose to buy BenQ and do not get a lemon, you are in good shape. But if you do get a lemon, the customer service options are TERRIBLE. For now, I am going to make-do until I can afford to buy another monitor from a different company than #BenQ *** If I could give a negative star rating, I would. Since my review, the issue is getting worse. I work from home, and on my monitor 8 hours a day. The monitor goes blank 5X an hour. 40X a day. I have checked every connection, changed the setup, etc. I bought this expensive monitor to replace an $80 17in that I had for 5 years, and never a problem. UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!! For some reason, the screen goes black for about 1-2 seconds about constantly. Suggestions are to check for loose connections. That is not the issue but the only explanation or fixes given for constant screen issues. Very annoying since I use this monitor for work, and during a presentation the black screen is incredible disruptive. I have never had other cheaper monitors to hav this issue. I cannot recommend BenQ.

> 3 dayWith a change in work from home culture due to COV19 I needed a replica of my office setup at home. 24 monitors, triple-monitor arm, standup desk, etc. I did extensive research as I didnt want to spend a fortune creating this setup but definitely needed it to be a long term office quality setup. With so many brands and options available in the market making a choice was difficult so started with requirements. 1. Needed 24 monitor 2. Needed multiple port options i.e. both DP and HDMI 3. VESA compatible 4. Thin bezels Most of the monitors provided only HDMI and DP was a must for me due to my docking station requirement plus also plan to use the monitors for light gaming. To my surprise, the options with these requirements started with $150 plus but only BenQ GW2480, Phillips, and Scepter monitors were in this range. Further analysis led to BenQ as my choice as it offered everything I was looking for at $130. Although the projected cost of this monitor is $119 I bought three of these at $130 each because the features were worth paying for. Have used it for office work and have no regret so far in buying these monitors. I will use them for gaming later and will update my review accordingly.

> 3 dayI bought two of the same monitors, once in 2019 and have been using it since. I recently bought another one for work, and I noticed a lot of differences from the older model. The framework around the screen is a little bit bigger but the screen is a little bit darker.

> 3 dayGet these regularly for our office, and 2 of these so far had the foam inside busted, a used HDMI cord with white.. paint? All over the cord. All the plastic baggies were just stuffed in the box, when normally each cord/manual has its own baggie. Dont know if these were returned and they re used them or something but was kinda iffy about using them. Luckily they still work as of now though....

> 3 dayI purchased this to use with my ps4. This is a 75 HZ monitor and the cap for PS4 is 60 so why not. It was very easy to put together.( 100% tool less) it does have speakers and honestly for a monitor under $200 i was surprised. I wouldnt recommend FPS on the speakers but it has better sound then my $400 pc monitor so thats a plus. The picture quality was great right out of the box. Normally you have to tweak the settings right out of the box but it looks great as is. I would recommend and purchase this again for console gaming. For PC gaming you are better off with a 144HZ panel. As always IPS screen looks amazing.

> 3 dayThis monitor is great, and its great as a secondary monitor. It doesnt look bad next to an expensive screen. If youre looking for an additional screen under 27 good luck. Retailers are full of 22-24 1080p monitors which look the same as the ones that came with an HP/Dell desktop in 2007. Most have huge bezels. Most have a single HDMI plug. Most have a power brick. And many of them dont even have HDCP so you cant watch Netflix on them. This monitor has a 100 mm VESA bolt pattern so you can put it on any arm. It takes a regular power plug — no power brick. It has HDCP. Its a good IPS panel. Black looks dark. Theres slightly less light bleed than my more expensive LG screens. It has slightly smaller bezels than my other screens. And it has two HDMI inputs, so its easy for me to use as an additional monitor for both my home machine and work laptop. The menus are easy to use and you can even setup shortcuts to put your three most-used adjustments on the first menu level. The speakers are worse than most — which is quite the feat when you think of how bad built-in monitor speakers are — but I dont care about that. The only slight annoyance I have is that you cant dim the light on the power button. But its on the bottom edge of the screen, so its easy to put a little piece of black tape over it. Of course that partially blocks those awesome speakers LOL. This monitor is a 21.5 1920x1080 panel, so thats 102.5 dpi/ppi (pixels per inch). The bigger you go the worse itll look next to a monitor with higher resolution. My other two monitors are a 38 3840x1600 LG ultrawide (109.5 dpi) and a 25 2560x1080 LG ultrawide (111.1 dpi). 21.5 BenQ GW2283 — sqrt(1920^2 + 1080^2) / 21.5 = 102.5 dpi 25 LG 25UM58 — sqrt(2560^2 + 1080^2) / 25 = 111.1 dpi 38 LG 38WN75C — sqrt(3840^2 + 1600^2) / 38 = 109.5 dpi The 25 LG 25UM58 is also a good deal. It currently costs 50% more than the BenQ for 33% more resolution. Its 75 hz, but I think the BenQ might actually have a better response time if youre gaming on it. And the 25 LG has a 75 mm VESA bolt pattern and a power brick.

> 3 dayJust recently stopped working after 3 years, but before that was a good quality for the price. I like the cable management on the back and the bevel style.
