This is the second pair I purchased where the physical buttons didnt work properly - mushy and not responsive.

I actually bought 4 pairs of over ear headphones for real world comparisons and these Bose q45’s came out on top. I tested the Bose against Beats Studio 3’s and Sony’s xm4’ and Sennheiser momentum 3’s. The Bose were crystal clear an any volume, they were the most comfortable as well. The Bluetooth is excellent, it has a long range and doesn’t cut out. Excellent battery life and easy to operate, I love these headphones. Sony’s we’re loose fitting and would fall off if you bent over too much. The Beats were crushing my head they were so tight and they weren’t “clear”, sound was a little muddled. The Sennheiser momentum 3’s would cut out just by turning my head they were big and loose fitting, a huge disappointment from Sennheiser. The anc on the Bose is phenomenal and I can wear them all day without experiencing listening fatigue. Great headphones!!!

My previous headset was the Sony MX line. These Bose are like pillows/clouds on your ears. They give a special pleasure to listening to music.

You cant turn off the noise filtering if the device is on like you could with the qc 35ii. You can only be in aware or silent mode, both of which have noise filtering.

I took a chance on buying like new refurbished headphones but they broke after 4 months. When working, the headphones are great - just as advertised. Definitely buy new directly from Bose instead of buying refurbished used ones.

Very comfy because they go over the ears. Noise cancellation was exceptional - we have two sets with my wife and use them in our flights, you cannot heat the jet engines at all.

Before this Ive used a wired set of Bose noise cancelling headphones, and I find these superior in every way. The noise cancelling has improved, blue tooth gives me a lot more freedom to move around, the headphones work well with my iPhone and iPad. I love the built in volume control and play/pause button.

But the 45 is even better. Get it over the 700.

Pairing with MacBook Pro and iPhone was sub optimal. Sound quality same as ten year old QC25. Bluetooth connectivity was intermittently interrupted. The NC fir voices is the best and beats Bose 700, and Sony XM4. Audio quality is poor. Bought and returned in just 2 days.
