Greater than one weekAs soon as I opened the box I removed the printer and set it up. I immediately discovered that the paper tray was detached and broken. I then tried to print and found that the flashing yellow light indicated a problem that could not be repaired. I had previously owned two identical printers, and wanted one just like it. The manufacturer has discontinued the model, which is why I purchased the used Canon printer. The previous two Canon printers that I had owned had the same problem. I took each of them to two technicians and both of them told me that they could not be repaired. Why did the seller send me a printer that did not work from the beginning? Of course I had prepaid for my order, using a credit card. When I reported to the seller that the machine was not working he quickly offered to refund my purchase price. We had been communicating through the Amazon e-mail process. I waited to receive the sellers check and nothing happened. When I inquired he then asked me to return the nonworking printer and THEN he would send a refund. I complied with his request. I wrapped the printer carefully and sent it by UPS immediately. When I tracked UPS I learned that it was delivered to the owner at his home. STILL there has been no response from the seller, and no refund! I have documented all our correspondence.

> 3 dayVERY expensive to operate. A decent printer for the price. Does what its supposed to do but WOW it drinks ink like water. And not the generic stuff either, it has to have the expensive Canon ink. Ive only owned this for about 5 months, but I think Im going to throw it away and buy something a lot less expensive to operate.

> 3 dayJust a wonderful quality item for what it is made to do. Its simple to install; its quiet; its quick; ink cartridges seem to be lasting a reasonable length of time....I just have to say A++++++ and way to go Canon once again.

> 3 dayBought the printer at walmart, am on my second black cartridge. Turned the printer on to do some printing and got seven flashes on the amber light. Looked in the manual and read that the cartridge was not properly installed. So far, I reinstalled it about fifty times, to no avail. I still get the same message, can anybody offer any help ?

> 3 dayI purchased this printer and it stopped working after three months. Great timing since my warranty expired after a month or so. I took it to a repair shop and found it could not even be fixed because the AC adapter unit inside was faulty. I ended up throwing away a $50 printer, time, and money. Amazon was no help due to the warranty expiration. Research more carefully and youll be happier.

Greater than one weekI bought this printer over a year ago. I only used black ink - but lo and behold when I went to print something in color - there was no colored ink left! Besides the fact that it prints a minimal amount of black type - and the fact the ink costs a fortune! You pay for this printer on the backside. It is definitely not worth the $50.00 it costs. If you do buy it be prepared to have a lot of ink cartridges on hand because you will need them.

> 3 dayThis is a cheap printer, and I dont mean merely the price. The feeder on mine went bad in less than a year. It would only intermittently grab the paper to print and times when it did it would start printing further down the page than I specified. Color ink doesnt last very long and, for me, the prints came out with faded color after a while. Avoid.

> 3 dayI bought this printer recently, and every time I print anything it feels like Im chugging a mountain dew while snowboarding down the Rockies on a snowboard thats actually a lightning bolt, and its as if someone transplanted the Rockies into some extreme combination of Disneyland and the worlds largest half-pipe, with girls in bikinis cheering me on at all sides, and theyre all just shouting my name and telling me how great I am for picking such an awesome thing to print and we all cant stop drinking mountain dew but theres an endless supply so its okay.
