> 3 dayThis printer was bought due to the low price and I hoped for the best possible. Well, I am fully happy with what I got for the money without a doubt

> 3 dayWhile Id never try to use such a printer for work use, this is a perfect printer for the home and home office that prints a couple of pages per day. The price is low, and the quality can be adjusted for reasonably high DPI. Photos, once the beads have settled into the photo paper, leave no streaks and it has an interface you can run to fine tune print head alignment. As for ink, you know what youre getting. Of course these things go through ink. Im still on my original cartridges, and on the 2nd fill for each one. Get a refill kit (I got 4 oz of each color and 8 oz black) and call it good. Use a tool called IPTool.exe (I use version 1.1.5) to reset the color counters of the cartridge. If you dried the cartridge out (or one color out) you can still refill it, and then run the deep head cleaning from the native software to get it working again. IPTool.exe can reset the software counter for that color on the cartridge, and youre back in business. Ive basically spent about $55 for the printer, and $39 for a refill kit that may last me the life of the printer if the jets hold out. So far the color cartridge went dry once, and running back to back deep-cleans fixed everything.

18-12-2024I have a B&W workhorse laser (HP) and didnt use this printer much except for a few color prints once in awhile. If I had, I probably would have run into the feeder issue a lot sooner like many people out there. However, under such little use, it took 11 months for the Feeder Failure to appear. The feeder starts grabbing just the right side only and jams the paper. You can try cleaning it, but it doesnt work. You can Google it and gauge about what stage the printer begins to do this for people--but my guess is about 100 -200 feeds. I got this printer free, but Im still a little disappointed Canon put out a defective printer. The features werent great, it was a middle of the road printer, a bit slow, cheap plastic, expensive ink, etc, but as far as I can tell a very inexpensive purchase price for what you get, which probably explains why they only offered a 90 day warranty: it was made to get past the 90 day mark only.

> 3 dayWhile went to buy the Ink for my HP Photosmart printer, I noticed this printer from Canon for just $30 and bought this one without any second thought ($30 is way cheaper than the HP inks). Installation went without an issue on my Vista PC, and I am not finding printing speed an issue. So far so good. I prefer to stay with Canon than HP for following reasons. 1) HP uses color ink even when choosing black printing. Though I print black and white prints, but HP makes me to buy color inks more often than b&w 2) HP expires the ink after some period. HP wants to generate constant money flow, but IMO this is not a way to do. Thanks Suriya.

> 3 dayI bought this used for a reasonable price. When it first arrived I kept getting an error when trying to install the ink cartridges. Turns out the printer had sat for a few months. I cleaned the heads and the cartridge, and all is well. I wanted a printer that you can purchase re manufactured ink for. I didnt want to spend a lot on ink. Secondarily, I wanted a printer that printed a decent amount of b/w per min. Lastly, I wanted it to be portable. I am 100% satisfied with this printer. I do not have experience with the photo printing, only black and white.

Greater than one weekPrint quality is decent, but relatively slow and loud. My complaint is the feed mechanism. It sucks. It started by giving errors for no paper with a full paper tray, then started feeding paper crooked. If I want to print a page, itll take 10-12 tries to eventually get it right. Just terrible. Buy something else. Wish I had.

> 3 dayDoes a great job! I dont print very much, but it is quiet and fast and the print quality is just what I need. I was a little surprised when I took it out of the box at the size....seemed big, especially compared to my last printer.

> 3 dayMy old printer died and I had a lot of ink cartridges for it. I am so glad I found a compatible printer for the cartridges and the printer works like a dream! And the price was reasonable!

> 3 dayFirst of all, this printer is very professional and sleek looking. It doesnt take up much space at all when its all closed up, and prints reasonably fast for most moderate users. Drivers installed easy, came with great free software, free 4x6 photo paper, and free 4x6 premium photo paper. Best value for the price (Although you can find it at about half the cost at a not-to-be-named superstore)
