This pack I just purchased does not have padding built in around the sides and in the front panel. The padding in the front inner panel and in the back are not as thick as my previous pack. The fabric of the pack is not quite as thick and tough as the previous pack. I really liked the size and design and function of my previous pack which is the reason I purchased this new one for my wife. I have to say I am very disappointed.

Ive went to Mexico and walked around all morning waiting for my airbnb to be ready. Since then, Ive started a new job and use this to lug around tools. Doesnt show any signs of tearing or anything yet. Its comfy if you have it on correctly. Id recommend this over wheeling around luggage.

The bag is lightweight and of good quality for the price. The pictures and dimensions are accurate and it was exactly what I expected.

Lots of room. This backpack is the same size as my carryon suitcase and I had no problems using it as my 2nd item aka personal item. I didn’t fill it to max capacity or expand the bag and I used the buckles to compress as much as possible. It fit perfect under the seat. #southwest It does stick out a little but it wasn’t a problem. I sat across from someone with a dog carrier and it came out just as far.

So I used this for a trip and packed waaaaay more than needed bc i wanted to test this bag. I think i fit about 5-7 days worth of clothing. The first 3 pictures you can see what i ended up putting in the bag. Everything fit (this includes a sweater, a sweater dress, hiking boots, dress pants, and a camel back type pack pack) except my hoodie and laptop. I ended up removing the boots and camel back bc the plans for the hiking changed so i was able to put a pair of tennis shoes and the laptop and the hoodie in. So the final 2 pictures are a bit different than what was actually packed. I’m about 5’10”. It fit super easily into the overhead space on the plane. I was also on the little plane that only has 4 seats on a row so those bins are smaller than the usual ones. I guess it was fairly comfortable but if you pack it this full i would avoid backpacking around Europe or something bc it wouldn’t be comfortable to wear for long amounts of time.

This is the only bag you will ever need!!! It expands and it has so much space but also not so big you feel like its a check bag if that makes sense lol.

Nice inexpensive pack that has a lot of options, and thats my only knock down in stars. A lot of handles and zippers and straps. For every combination of wearing it or carrying it. But its good and comfortable to wear

Will report more later should I have issues with the bag while traveling. Firstly, the bag does NOT look like the ad photo -- it is essentially a floppy backpack with no rigidity to it whatsoever; the photo causes it to look like it is somehow reinforced throughout (or heavily starched -- grin). Impressed with the size (advertised 40L) & the expansion capability of the main compartment appears to be a plus. It has 4 zippered pockets on the outside -- 3 on the back & one on the lower inside of the pack against ones lumbar area when carrying it like a backpack. The materials are somewhat durable appearing & I anticipate upcoming travel experiences will reveal how well made the backpack/suitcase actually is.

We bought two of these bags to use during an extended trip to Europe. We just returned and can report we are very happy with how these bags performed. We did a lot of backpacking so were concerned about the strength of the straps, etc. We had no issues whatsoever with them. The zippers, straps, handles, etc. all performed perfectly. There is a separate zipper that you can use if you need more space, which we did. I read a recommendation from Rick Steves about a similar bag, so did some looking on Amazon and found these that are almost exactly the same, but at a lower price. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this bag to others, and plan on using it for a long time in the future.
