Greater than one weekI installed this sub-panel in my garage to provide power for multiple devices . . . 220V 4 Post Garage Lift, EVSE Electric Vehicle Charger, a Welder, and Travel Trailer. The combination of plugs and voltages makes this a great all-purpose box. I particularly like the fact that the door opens to the side so that you dont have to duck to see the plugs.

> 3 daySame issues with closing cover while cord in use as other users reported, even on the 20A. Also, had to change out the 20A GFCI receptacle to a WR/TR rated receptacle to meet current (2014 NEC) code for residential installation. For the price, I was expecting it to meet current codes.

19-12-2024This was reasonably priced, and it is an excellent box. Recently the price has gone way up, which is the reason for the one star drop. Otherwise, good box.

> 3 dayA larger 1 1/2 knock out is needed on the lower center of the box for a larger conduit connection.

> 3 dayI purchased this unit for my RV parking area next to my home. Our Motor Home is a 40 foot bus, diesel pusher with twin A/C and requires 50 AMPS. I had a licensed electrical contractor install this Connecticut Electic 80 AMP box. When I plugged in my 50 AMP plug, the plug was proud to the point the door would not close. I had to use my grinder and cut a relief big enough for the plug in order for the door to close and latch. This is not a good design for 50 AMP users. If you have a 30 AMP service or just want to use the 110V plugs, it will probably suffice... But if you have 50 AMPS, BEWARE!!
