Love this bag. I travel extensively and needed to not lug a backpack around, especially when wearing a sportcoat or suit. This bag not only easily holds my traveling life but it also looks good and has generated many compliments. Two issues keep it from 5 stars. 1. The straps that make it a backpack fold into the flap on the back when not being used as a backpack. However, it isnt possible to tighten the straps to make them flush inside the flap so they sort of droop out and take away the clean look. I also have to keep them outside the flap as I use the wheeler-handle inserts to slip this bag and stack, but the straps get in the way when concealed. Id just rather remove the straps altogether. 2. Heres the star-killer: Zippers, or specifically zipper. Not long after having the bag and being quite fond of it, one of the front pocket zippers separated and no matter what I do, I cant get the zipper to re-bite itself because of the shape of the pocket it is part of. It remains open about 3/4 to an inch and I constantly worry it is going to spill my contents out by separating. I know zippers can be a challenge, and I prefer them over buckles on front pockets, but if this issue wasnt there that 5th star would be granted. Otherwise, this bag is perfect in meetings and nobody knows Im carrying thecontents of the back of the Beverly Hillbillies truck around inside.

My old Samsonite laptop back pack started ripping at various seams and a strap hold burst completely on me - after about 3 years of daily use carrying about 8-10 lbs of stuff (14 laptop, peripherals, diary, papers, etc. I started looking for a man bag and found the Cool Bell line. I took the blue poly-type material with brown leather straps. I think it looks outstanding. One colleague called it a parachute, and another thought it looked sick and versatile being able to carry as a hand bag or back pack. I was able to fit all my stuff into this...and after two months of Monday to Friday use - it has held up well. It does look semi-executive and is very convenient to use as a back pack as well. The zippers seem strong enough so far. The bag maintains its shape, but doesnt have much give if you try to over-stuff it, so bear that in mind. I hope to have many years of service out of this. If it falls short of that - I will be sure to revert back.

So far this product meets all my needs

Ive only used for a few weeks. I really like the look, the storage compartments, the padding, and I especially like and purchased it so that it can convert to a backpack--particularly for airports. I have not used the backpack mode regularly yet. Im having no difficulty with the zippers or the backpack straps falling out as in other reviews--Im not sure how that would happen unless the bag had very little in it--but there is an opening on the bottom edge (in briefcase position) of the backpack straps pocket, and it makes no sense to me why that is open and why the material isnt closed on the seam there, the opening does nothing from what I can tell. I feel like I got what I paid for in terms of durability and craftsmanship and that is why 4 stars on each of those. I would give it 4.5 stars overall to date.

Craftsmanship is excellent my only concern is the stitching seems a bit fragile

This bag fits my needs. I use it to carry my 13 MacBook Pro, and 10.5 ipad Pro. It has plenty of room for both, plus all the charges and other things. Lots of little pockets. Look, this isnt a HIGH END briefcase, but its quite awesome for the price. Ive gotten MANY compliments on it. Im usually dressed in business casual, JEANS, Dress shirt, Gray sports coat and it fits the bill. Its light by itself but I tend to fill it to the brim. I thought Id use the backpack straps but havent done so yet. In fact if I could change one thing it would be to eliminate them. I does have the slot or pouch to let you slide this over a carry on suitcase handle for dragging through the airport or from car to hotel which was a requirement for me. But... The backpack straps are stored in this area so that can be a bit of a pain as they can get tangled up sometimes. Not a huge deal but something I would change. (They are sewn in so you cant remove them).

Works great, fits my HP 17 inch laptop which everyone asks about and seemed like no one answered but mine slips in easily. Fits a lot of other accessories as well. Very nice looking and well made. Not bulky or heavy either.

This is an excellent made, sturdy bag and is perfect for to/from the office. I often move from floor to floor for meetings and this is lightweight enough and compact that its seamless to carry. Despite it being compact there is a ton of dedicated pockets so you can organize all your stuff. Feels good on the shoulder and strap is well padded. The only negative (not enough to even take a star off IMO) as others have mentioned is the backpack straps. I appreciate the flexibility with carrying options but i would buy a backpack if I wanted one. I got this to be a more professional looking bag. Honestly I just used scissors and cut off the backpack straps to cut down on the extra bulk and youd never notice the difference. Overall love this bag and would highly recommend.

I really love this laptop bag! I am truly a backpack girl at heart but Ive just switched jobs and Im now in more of a corporate setting. I bought this bag in order to keep a clean professional look with with the convenience of switching to a backpack when necessary and this is just what Im needed .

This was given as a gift. I checked it out before I gave it, and the recipient was very happy with it. The fact that it can go from briefcase to backpack quickly is the main reason for this gift. It does not disappoint. It looks very well made and has a lot of pockets, zippers, to keep things organized. Time will tell for the durability, but this seems like a good quality product. Im happy with the purchase.
