> 24 hourI purchased the H500 for a high-end, air-cooled AMD 5950X + Nvidia 3090 build. The case is just about the right size and offers plenty of options to mount components. The two giant 200mm in-take fans offer a unique look and a lot of airflow. All the mesh components have a magnetic mesh filter that can be easily removed and cleaned. The power supply shroud nicely hides the mess of wires. There are also plenty of tie downs to neatly route wires around the case. Since it is a mesh case, it can get noisy given all the openings for airflow. However, this should be expected as the alternative would be to do a liquid cool system that would not rely on so many fans. When using the Noctua NH-D15 cooler, the case doesnt have enough width to fit the second 140mm cooler fan over the RAM modules. I resorted to using a 120mm fan instead which will offer enough clearance. (So if you are looking at the Noctua NH-D15, get the NH-D15S instead which only comes with 1 fan and you can purchase a 120mm fan separately). I purchased the case during a rebate promotion. The instructions were confusing since it asked for a physical UPC which my box did not have. This was remedied through customer service although I have yet to receive the rebate.

> 24 hourThe Cooler Master H500 isnt a case to jump up and down about, but its nothing to turn up your nose at either. Its spacious enough to work inside of pretty easily and holds an ATX motherboard or smaller with ease (Im not sure about eATX). Standoff locations are clearly marked by form factor. Cable management could be a bit easier and Id have been more impressed with velcro ties than zip-ties (of which there were too few), but there are sufficient tie-down points that keeping your cabling neat wont be a major chore. The two 240mm front fan and the 120mm rear exhaust fan are reasonably quiet. You can hear them, but theyre only slightly louder than background noise (my GPUs fans are far louder). Airflow with the mesh front panel is far superior to that with the glass front panel. In short, there are better cases out there, but youll pay more for them. There are also far worse cases out there at a lower price point. Its a solid mid-tier case.

> 24 hourI dont care for case. I have an old Antec which I am satisfied with. But this H500 is epic. Evolution happened for a very good reason for this case. I loved almost every aspect of this case. And I am completely satisfied. I was hoping to go with mini-ITX and make case disappear. But I am gladly I ended up with H500. 1. Light. It is a HUGE case but it is still light. That is important. 2. Handle works. Handle was of the key feature I was looking for. This has handle and not just for cosmetics, it actually is usable. And it does not stick out. 3. 200mm fan. It is wonderfully quiet and well integrated. Best fan I have ever come across. 200mm if you have to build such size is AWESOME. It is running around 400-500rpm. 4. Real glass side panel. I dont care for looks much. But this glass screams I am fancy. It is real heavy glass. It adds most to the case but whole case isnt heavy so the look and feel of real glass adds much more than its weight negatives. 5. Cable management. It can be improved but I had so much fun cabling this. It has plenty to tidy up your cabling. I wont be spending any money with ARBG and other fancy lighting but I enjoyed with what came with. 6. Power button and front USB. I had older case and the placement of power button and USB made this case so much more comfortable using it. H500 is in short supply. They want $150 for this $100 case and again market is correct. It is worth $150. But I wouldnt spend that. I bought used and it came with one faulty back 120mm fan. nothing $5 wouldnt fix. I wont blame Cooler Master for it. H500 is AWESOME CASE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

> 24 hourSo I went from a cooler master master box to this beast, as you can tell, the master case is quite a bit bigger than the master box. The only gripe I have about the master case H500p is they didnt make the front universal with replacing different brands of fans. So I had to shoehorn it with zip ties so I could get my thermaltake 200mm fans on the H500p. I would definitely recommend getting this case even though its a few years or so on the market. Its got plenty of room for fan placements, I know people are big fans of water cooling, unfortunately this doesnt have a slot in the tower for a cooler. But, if your enthusiastic enough, you can put 9 fans in this thing, the options are only for the front. You could do 2 200mm fans, and 3 120mm fans behind the 200mm, or bring it down to 8 fans and put 2 140mm fans behind the 200mm fans in the front. The top can hold 3 120mm fans, or 2 140mm fans, the back is 1 120mm fan, or a 140mm fan. Overall with 9 fans total I have in my build. Its not to excessive with the fan noise, but keeps everything nice and cool in the 40s to lower 60s degree celsius.

> 24 hourBought this to house an i7-9700k @ 5.1 GHz and a 3080 Ti - needed really good air throughput and this case is excellent for the job. Found this after Gamers Nexus reviewed it and gave it positive marks. The gigantic fans in the front provide a lot of air movement at a much lower noise level than a set of smaller fans. Me personally I turned the RGB of the fans off because I dont like flashing RGB on fans so I was more interested in the functionality of the air flow. Though the case comes with many different types of screws - you just need to figure out which screws you need and which ones you dont need. They make it pretty clear with a detailed manual that comes with the case. The two front fans are daisy chained via a y-splitter cable and both plug into a single fan header, while the rear exhaust fan goes into a separate chassis fan header. There is perfect room for a 240 mm AIO at the top, provided you have low profile RAM, and me personally I dont use HDDs so I entirely removed the HDD cages from the bottom to provide more air space. TLDR; this is a real nice case and can provide adequate cooling for even relatively extreme overclocking conditions and high power consumption gpus.

> 24 hourThis is ‘The Chasis’ of all chasis. There is possibly one other that compares, but not nearly in quality. This is the second largest chasis I have ever installed anything into and there is still plenty of room for more. My last Cooler Master case lasted me 10 years. (It’s still in use, but I sold my entire system). I can’t imagine how this won’t last longer. Typically a tower case will cost maybe $300-350USD; after carefully studying this case compared to one other of my last two choices ; I actually paid a bit over $550USD extra to have it shipped to my location. Most expensive case I’ll have ever bought; but well worth every penny. Arrived very quickly considering my location.

> 24 hourThe Case is actually really nice. I was skeptical as i worry when i buy things. The material is a good portion plastic but it is sturdy plastic and dosnt bend. The glass panel is nice and easy to remove to do some work inside and the rear has good space for cable management or if your like we, just zip tie the cables. The front Fans are amazing and are good, careful with the led cables for them as i fried one of mine. The noise is my only issue, it can be annoying at times HOWEVER it isnt anything bad when you game or watch youtube. Honestly amazing buy and i do recommend

> 24 hourBuilt like a tank, spacious, premium. However, there are small things that add up to a disappointing experience. Normally, I wouldnt be so picky about such minor things. But I also dont normally spend $650 on a case. The fit for the seem on the glass panel near the top where the two metal plates meet at the front of the case form an S bend and dont join neatly together, causing them to overlap. This has an effect of making it look cheap and poorly manufactured. The grommets inside the case have a tendency to bunch up toward the center of the opening. Instead of them being firmly against the opening, they slide off. Everything in this case is tool-less. Except the main retention screw that you need to remove in order to take off the top panel. The top panel is the lynch pin, permitting access to the the rest of the case by allowing you to remove the side panels. Youd think it would be a retention screw on something this expensive. Not so. Hopefully you dont lose this one important screw thats effectively holding together your entire case. The glass inserts on the front panel of the case are exceptionally dirty, requiring me to use some window cleaner and microfiber cloth to get them to a satisfactory appearance. This is despite the many plastic peel films on each side of the glass inserts. In fact, it made the effect stand out more. Dirty and clean glass clashed, making the foggy glass apparent even from 5ft away, especially when lit. Even though this case is large enough to house an enitre smaller computer within its cavernous interior, it lacked enough width to let me use my noctua NH-D15 with both fans (one raised up due to ram) on the cpu cooler. I was honestly shocked since this case is all about airflow. How could you not let the premier air cooler fit in what is intended to be THE airflow case? All in all, Im satisfied with my purchase. Sadly, Cooler Master decided to forgo the final 10% of effort required to polish this case to a masterful product and at this price point, it hurts a lot more. Ive seen more attention to detail in cases 1/3rd the price. If it werent the fact I had already purchased the case now armed with this knowledge, I would have likely gone with the lian li o11 dynamic and saved myself $400.

> 24 hourI am extremely happy with this case. There is a video around somewhere on YouTube where they did review on cooling with this and like 20 other cases. Not only did it come out near the top but it was also one of the cheaper ones. It definatley lives up to that. The cooling is great. I only added one extra 140mm fan at the top vent and set it as an extra exhaust fan. I have a 2080 nvidia and an i7-9700k processor with a cpu cooler that is probably not good enough for that CPU. I run a temperature tracking program and my cpu and gpu dont get hotter then about 62c during heavy gaming at max settings. Its all very quiet too. My old gaming laptop seems like a loud boiling jet engine now. For my first pc build i found the directions were easy to understand. The important screw holes and cords in the case are also labeled so its easier to know what to do when putting it together. The carrying handle feels sturdy so far, i transport the desktop around to friends houses to play vr games. Overall highly satisfied.

> 24 hourSo, a Noctua NH-D15 is a common air cooler for people with fast and power hungry CPUs and dont want to use water cooling for the many different reasons that a person could possibly have. For people wanting air cooling and want to get the beefier ones because you have a CPU that uses more power, 170mm clearance over the CPU for an air cooler is a pretty reasonable ask from a company, and with a case like this it SHOULD be able to deal with bigger air coolers, but no. I had to replace the front fan that came with the Noctua NH-D15 with a 120mm fan. Yes, some of this falls on the cooler design, but still, this is supposed to be a performance case for gaming. The next issue I have with the case are the ports. NONE of the ports worked for me except the USB 2 ports. I wish this was a rare problem but Ive seen it a few times with different case manufacturers where you get one case and the ports work and another one and something in the front doesnt work. I cant give 5 stars to a company if this VERY SIMPLE THING of making sure the ports work by either having a manufacturing process that ensures they will work or checking them. I cant even plug a headset into the front port and thats pathetic. This is the first time Ive had both USB 3 ports and a sound port be an issue. When testing the USB 3 ports it corrupted data coming off the disk and after unplugging from this system I had to reformat the drive because the partition got corrupted and locked up the next system I plugged it into. So as far as the front ports this case was a disaster, as far as the clearance over the CPU, its on the olden days side. Yes theres enough clearance for the old faithful Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, from more than a decade ago, but arent we past that now? I cant give more than 4 stars for a case thats supposed to be a high quality gaming case but cant accept more modern air coolers and the NH-D15 seems to be the one many people want to use for high end builds without using water, and I have to take off a star for each port that doesnt work. Two stars.
