Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) 260-Pin SO-DIMM ddr4 2400 (PC4 19200) Memory (Notebook Memory)

I recently bought this memory to increase the responsiveness of my macbook pro which originally came with 4 gb of RAM. Prior to having this RAM my gaming was a bit laggy as far as graphics go and i found that when I worked on large projects in garageband that the responsiveness deteriorated. This was the case for other large apps that I used on my mac. Then, I purchased a samsung 830 ssd. I noticed a crazy increase in my macs performance due to the ssd upgrade and didnt think that I could possibly get any more out of my computer. Fortunately I was wrong. Even with a really good ssd in your laptop, a minimal amount of memory can hold you back. Most of the applications I use take up 2-3 gbs of memory which obviously slowed down my overall performance. Now when I play games like the Force Unleashed and Assassins Creed ll on my mac, the picture is smooth as silk and I have no problems with lagging whatsoever and I never have to deal with stalling between applications. Also, even though I was told that RAM generally does not decrease boot up speed, this memory did in fact do just that. When my mac came out of the box it took about 32 seconds to boot up. With the ssd it took 11 seconds to boot. With the ssd combined with the corsair vengeance memory my Macbook pro 13 inch 2012 model now starts in 8 seconds! Now that is a mean machine. I am still in the process of testing this RAM on memtest. Ive been testing it for about 20 hours now and so far not a single problem. If you have 50 bucks lying around and you could use a little more memory I would suggest this one right here.

Had a 16gb ram but my memory consumption was always around 80-100 (blames chrome tabs) had this installed and now chrome consumes half of my memory

When I bought my laptop 7 years ago it only had 4 GB of RAM. I upgraded it a few years later to 8 GB and 2 months ago when I converted it to Linux opted to swap out both sticks for 16 GB and this fit the bill. I run a pair of Virtual Machines in the Linux OS and can have both on with plenty of RAM at the same time as well as the Linux host. Been using Corsair for the last 4 years now and their Vengeance memory has performed well.

It popped old memory out & new right in. It booted up into Windows 10 64-bit- no muss, no fuss, no changing bios settings. Ran Zoom Meeting for hours with no problem right after swapping stock 4GB to this kit’s 8GB. Checked memory with Speedfan and the memory is clocked at full speed on my Toshiba Satellite C655-S5512. Amazon pc part checker was absolutely right with this recommendation. It was a bit more than no name brands, but you usually get what you pay for.

Works great on my mid 2012 MacBook pro. Along with the Samsung 860 evo sad Im getting boot time of under 13 seconds! Used to be closer to a minute or more.
