Ive always been happy with the design and quality of Dewalt products but this one is lacking - mostly because the locking feature is virtually useless. It doesnt really lock per se, you just slot the winding handle. If the reel has slack or the handle bumps free - you lose your measurement. Terrible design

Had this for a year and it has been great. I finally needed it for measuring over 100 and when it got to 93 the tape came out of the case. It had been broken there since day 1. I love Dewalt but I will be replacing this with another brand.
