> 3 dayI bought it to use on dog hair that accumulates on the stairs. Theres an outlet downstairs located near the bottom of the stairs, and with the addition of a 30 extension cord I can get the stairs in one go without having to stop half way up and plug into a different outlet. The cord length of the appliance is reasonable, I just wanted it longer. It has good suction power and works well for its intended purpose. Measuring the current draw with a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter shower that with 120V line voltage the vacuum pulls 4.97 amps with a clean filter. That drops down to 3.98 if I hold my hand over the air inlet for a few seconds. The amp rating in the add copy is put there by marketing and their number is probably a peak startup current measured when the unit is first switched on. Do bigger numbers sell more units? The vacuum is much better than a cordless vac in duration (naturally) and suction power both. The built in crevice tool is a nice feature that allows me access to much tighter places than it would otherwise be able to reach. So far the crevice tool is holding up well for me. The power switch is fairly easy to operate and stays firmly in position when you release it. The dirt cup and filter are easy to take off, clean, and put back on. Its small size and light weight make using it a breeze. And that brings me to the only down side. I wish it had exhaust air deflectors to direct the air coming out of it to the rear instead of the sides. At times the exhaust air will blow the very dirt and pet hair away from the nozzle one is trying to capture. Especially in small spaces like the stairs. It doesnt get hot, but it does get quite warm after running for a while. Not enough for me to be a concerned or worry about it. This is pretty much par for the course of any corded vacuum cleaner. I got the unit in January 2021 and today is 2021/August/30. Its still going strong after a number of 15-20 minute weekly use cycles.

> 3 dayThis has to be absolutely hands down the best little hand back on the market! Leave it to Black & Decker! Suction is so hard if I turn it on in midair I get a kickback as if it was a little pistol lol - and it is! Brings freshening joy and cleanliness into my life with ease and maneuverability, every part of it is wonderful. I dont think I would ever want a different brand in this model is fantastic. The price is amazing. Im sure with it being Black & Decker itll last a long time too.

> 3 dayI had a Dirt Devel handheld unit for 10+ years that finally gave out so I came here to buy another one. Im only using it for around the cat box and along the side of walls in my own home. The suction is okay--it does clog and you have to put your fingers in there to push the material out of the way. The suction opening is way too narrow--it needs to be wider. If I get one year out of this model I did well.

> 3 dayGreat for the vehicles. Suction is good, filter is easy to clean, dont have to worry about losing suction as battery goes down like with battery powered tool, or losing power in general with cord.

> 3 dayI was rush-shopping when I got this and did not pay attention to a major spec: it’s tethered to a cord it’s whole life. Lol. Fully my own mistake, but I wanted a cordless hand vac and instead got yet another thing that needs to be plugged in. Unfortunately I’ve used it several times already anyway, so returning is no longer an option. On the upside it has good suction for sure. It is hella loud, it it has very good suction. Dirt devil stuff never gets the best reviews but this is definitely not the worst product I’ve ever used. It is good for small spaces like in between and ottoman and the couch, stairs and by laundry areas. It comes with a bunch of generally useless attachments. I tried using one, the long tubelike extension, and it was fine but just sort of floppy and annoying. I have to hold it straight and it just was an annoying thing to have to do on top of hunching over and scraping the ground. I did not receive the spinning rug attachment that is listed in the manual. I got one that has red velvety strips lining the suction part. Have not used yet. but might be helpful for bedding? I also really wanted something that would work for the car, and I don’t know who’s car is parked 10 ft from a wall outlet but it’s basically not possible. I know there’s comments about plugging it into the car but I don’t have an adapter for that and I’m not about to buy yet another piece for this thing. I feel like it’s honestly kind of useless if you own any other kind of vacuum and have a one-story, or small living space. My bigger, main vacuum got an f*ing sock caught in the tubing and had to be cut out and now the suction just is nonexistent despite many layers of tape. So I got this in a hurry thinking I’d get some extra bonus options for use. Unfortunately, no. It’s ok and it does the job. I gave it 4 stars bc it has serious suction and can get small messes cleaned up quickly. I probably over rated it, but It is easier to drag this thing out than my other big vacuum for sure. But of course you have to be hunched over like Quasimodo to use it. And we all know that once its out and were using it, we will run around and find other things to vacuum up. So its not like you just whip this out for one thing for 4 seconds. You walk around crouched down and bent over scraping the scraping around. I am pregnant and all this thing does right now is hurt me. I’ll deal with it but I will definitely get a proper hand vac soon.

> 3 daySo, we got a puppy. We had hoped she wouldnt be a big shedder (shes a true pound puppy), but we were very wrong. She also wont housebreak, but thats another story for another review. As soon as I realized that vacuuming the couch was now a daily required task (sigh), I was on the hunt for a handheld vac so I didnt have to lug out my Dyson upright everyday. I didnt want to mess with battery powered - I wanted plug in power! I opened it immediately (bc Im in my mid thirties and excitement looks different these days) and went to work on the couch. It worked like a charm. I did find that using the dust brush worked best on the couch, but without worked best on the chair. Noted. The stairs are next, but I imagine itll work just as well. (Although it may require a plug change in the middle - not sure if the cord will be long enough to make the distance. First world problems.) It also worked great with the extension piece to clean the baseboards. I would love to have seen a place to wrap the cord onto the actual vacuum and on board storage for the dust brush would be convenient, but theyre definitely not deal breakers for me. And at this price point, Ill deal with the minor inconveniences. So, in summation, while we may regret this puppy (I kid... mostly), we certainly dont regret this vacuum purchase. And we will love both for a long time.

> 3 dayAlthough I have a Dirt Devil, I was looking for a vacuum that would maneuver more easily in my automobile. This portable vacuum was the perfect solution for my needs. I am able to reach the tighter spaces in my vehicle that I was not able to vacuum with my Dirt Devil. Lightweight and portable make this vacuum a must for keeping my vehicle clean.

Greater than one weekWorks well with strong suction but is difficult to open it to clean it out.
