> 3 dayI had purchased these taps to clean out Frame Rail Weld Nuts in a 16 year old car. A lot of rust and road grime. The purpose was the installation of a new trailer hitch. When they first arrived I was impressed with the nice divided case that they came in. Very convenient especially considering the low cost of the set. That is where the good for this project ends. The first two snapped within minutes of use in the first nut. This was very surprising as I was using a T-Handle Tap Wrench and you cant get much torque with one. Im guessing these either had a bad temper or were from a bad batch of steel because the third lasted for the rest of the project (6 additional Weld Nuts). Next time Ill spend the extra money and get something a little higher quality.

> 3 dayI expected to get a pack of three bottoming taps like the photo indicates. I had searched for bottoming taps and when I saw a photo with three bottoming taps I ordered it. Needless to say I was surprised to discover that only one of the taps is a bottoming tap. The others are a tapered tap and a plug tap. I went back to the original sales description and scanned through all the photos. In every photo where three taps are displayed side by side all the taps are flat nosed indicating that they are bottoming taps, however, in one of the photos the set is described as consisting of one bottoming tap, one tapered tap and one plug tap. Note to seller: when you display a set of items that are different from each other then display the items contained in the set and not a photo of one item repeated three times.

> 3 dayI bought the set to chase some threads and finish threads in a blind hole. They worked great and cut new threads easily. I only used the taps for one hole, but they are still sharp and show no signs of damage.

> 3 dayWas just tapping aluminum, but did a great job. Had some mounting bolt threads that stripped on a Kohler engine. I drilled them deeper, and tapped with this set. The bottoming tap gave me a few more threads to screw in to.
