Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, works with Mac and PC

Bought it for my son, he loves it!!

About 2-3 months in unit would randomly go blank, no display on the keys and keypresses no longer working. Eventually it stopped working completely and now when plugged in shows USB power surge Detected on my PC. Its great when it works, but this is not the longevity I was hoping to see in a 150$ unit.

Im serious. The software seems ten years out of date, and its nearly impossible to create your own buttons without using an external graphics program. Id also like for more buttons to show me their on/off status, but you need to learn an API for that it seems. Still, once I set it up, Im pretty happy with it. I just wanted to customize it more without wading through hundreds of ridiculous user-created buttons that look pretty, but dont do much.

Once I got going with this this though, it is awesome. Easily scripted all the commands for Warcraft and elite dangerous. I love this thing.

If support ever gets this thing going I will update my review, but for now I will say this thing is not working on my M1 MacBook Pro. The power light just flickers. It seems that this guy draws more power than the average USB component. Many modern laptops (like mine) are standardizing on USB-C. Streamdesk is USB-A only. It does not like dongles. Some work, some dont. I have yet to find one that does. Support is looking into it

This is about the coolest computer accessory you can buy. Totally customizable … really! I dont do video or audio editing, but for someone who uses multiple programs at the same time and needs to call up most used ones all the time, this is great! Should be an option when you order a new computer.

I originally purchased the 15 key deck but after use, I bit the bullet and ordered the 32 key deck.
