I have pets and it collects all the hair so it does not get in the air. It seems to filter everything really well except farts. I highly recommend these filters, easy to install and come packaged well.

These 3M filters are far and away my favorite to use. No whistling, or other signs that my system is struggling to move air through, and they filter all manner of awful filth.
