So I started to buy test and measurement equipment for an at-home, self-study electronics lab. Back in 95-98, I remember using $300+ Fluke DMM that we checked out to do our labwork in school. So I was accustomed to the Fluke name and what they stand up for.

My purchase was based on another person that had one. He was very pleased. It was told to me that they were # 1 so this is what I wanted.

Does all I wanted and more! Purchased for work and now want one for home use! Just wish in included a case. It was pouring rain and very windy when the equipment failed. Took the readings flawlessly and with stood a real test in stormy conditions. Very satisfied with this equipment. Maybe next time it will be during dry weather...

Top quality meter

This is a very good quality meter that Im sure will stand up to years of toolbox abuse. It seems to be accurate and its simple to use. If you plan on using it in cold climates get the silicon test leads or you will be sorry.

Im not an engineer or physicist by any means, needed something to identify a faulty microswitch in a failed microwave. From reviews I narrowed down on Fluke over other brands quickly, though had difficulty choosing the right one for my needs. So took a while to figure this would do the job and I could grow into its other functions. I nailed the rogue switch quickly with the audible continuity function. Comes with a thick instruction manual that is a mini tutorial in electronics. The meter itself is in a removable yellow rubber case that I expect is one reason Fluke has a reputation for durability.
