Herschel Novel Duffel Bag

This bag is just what I needed. I dont have a bag to put clothes in when traveling/taking small weekend getaways etc. I have been using a backpack(which hardly fits anything) I got this because i need a place to put clothes, shoes ,etc. This bag is great. Has a nice shoe pocket, inside is very large with a small side mesh pocket * for little things, phone, charger, toiletries, etc. Comes with an arm strap as well. As others mentioned the clips holding the handles are plastic and I guess they could be prone to breaking. Bag has a limited lifetime warranty (so thats a plus) a reason why I got the bag. Plus the Hershel quality!

I absolutely love the Herschel company but I always thought they were so expensive, well I ended up needing a decent sized bag for a trip over the summer and this was the perfect choice. I always overpack and let me tell you this bag can handle it. It is big but if youre like me and overpack for a 3 day trip then this is definitely a go to. Now if I didnt overpack I could definitely use this for like a 7 day trip but I overpack. I have a small suitcase that was a hand-me-down and it is the size of a carry-on suitcase and doesnt hold nearly as much as this bag does. I was also very impressed with the sturdiness of the handles and zippers, it is definitely not like a cheap one you can just grab from a basic store. I definitely recommend this. I know people that use this as a gym bag too or use it as teachers and they love them.

Sturdy. Is it worth the almost $100 I spent? We’ll see in a few years. It’s a simple design with a good carrying capacity. I really enjoy having the shoe compartment

Love the metal hardware but I noticed you have to be very careful with the zippers as they easily bend. I was disappointed to learn that while this bag is part of the Select Series, it does not come with the leather strap cushion as other models in this series did. Overall, its my one and only travel bag, perfect for long weekends. Its is the perfect fit for overhead bins when flying which is very important for me since I despise having to deal with checking bags.

I really enjoy the product but it truly is a weekender bag. There is really only room for at most 5 outfits of clothes, shoes, and some toiletries. Other than that the bag looks great and feels sturdy!

Liked the look of the bag but the shoe storage for which we bought it for could be better. We don’t even use it because you have to have the bag empty before putting your shoes in. If you go to the gym that would require removing everything from your bag to slide the shoes in and then repack your bag. It is NOT convenient. Usually it is separated on the bottom as a separate compartment but this is not and goes right the area. It is “covered” meaning will not get your items dirty but encroaches on the space.

The bag had a very high quality feel to it and is more than spacious enough for traveling. I use it for carrying all my tripods and extra stuff and it does the job perfectly.

I really like this style of Herschel duffel, and this is the second one that I have bought from them, both via Amazon. However, this one shipped without a shoulder strap attachment, so Im wondering if that was a mistake or if the strap no longer comes with the bag. The bag is designed with the same clips for a strap as my previous duffel of the same style and make. The bag is great, just was hoping to have the same strap as before.

It works really good for a carry on item, you can easily have it for a 2 or 3 day trip. The quality is very good.
