Purchased the legendary treasure truck deal, monitor came quick. Was unfortunate to learn the one I received came with the cheaper BOE panel that HP swapped into these bad boys to save money. There is an odd green tint on the screen I cant seem to remove with any settings. But for a second or third monitor this thing does the job.

Please excuse the cluttered desk haha Honestly one of the best monitors I’ve owned. Picture quality is above and beyond. Control menu very easy to use. Love that this has a portrait mode! The height on this monitor as well is amazing! Forward and back tilt as well! Bezel on monitor is very thin and maximizes the full screen capability as well! Highly recommend considering this for first time PC users or any level of computer user!

Do yourself a favor and wait until this goes on sale again for <$200. Anyone in the market for a 1440p monitor should seriously consider the X27q. People over on r/buildapcsales go absolutely gaga for this monitor whenever theres a flash sale. And for good reason, too. It has all the specs you want - 165hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and of course the budget friendly yet crystal clear 1440p resolution. No, you wont get HDR or any other bells and whistles, but for everyday use from streaming media content to gaming, the X27q is more than up to the task.

The monitor itself is great. Clear image, and very nice response times. Satisfied with my purchase with what I paid for it. However I was shipped a faulty power cable. Luckily I had a UPS, as using the power cable that was shipped in the box caused the circuit to short. The first time I tried to power the monitor on, it immediately shut my other monitor and PC off. I attempted to start the monitor again, with the same results. Used a different outlet on the same circuit, with the same result. I ended up using an old power cable from an unused TV and now it works with no issue. Overall the issue was a minimal fix for me. However I do not think every customer will be equipped for that situation, nor should they have to. Some bad QC as a faulty cable can cause some damage. Would have given this five stars otherwise.

I recently ordered January 21, received January 24. I got an LG panel, very happy with that over the BOE panel! The picture quality is miles better than 1080p, and the refresh rate is top notch. Cant compare this to other 1440p monitors, but I am highly satisfied. With some calibration, 10/10

Its been few months now, so I can review this monitor. I got this for a bargain here. The color is perfect. No dead pixels. Laptop and Desktop detects this automatically. I certainly recommend this.

Picked this up to replace my 2nd monitor that was going bad. Honestly, for this price point, its a great monitor. If my primary wasnt an insane 49 Samsung ultrawide, Id definitely consider getting another and running a pair of then as my primary screens.

Got it from recent Amazon treasure truck deal. It had everything specs I wanted. IPS/ 1440P/ 165HZ(I was happy with 144hz so it was plus)/ Vesa/ Fast response time/ No crazy gaming monitor design which is perfect for work + gaming set up/ HDR/ Gsync (Not certified but it works)/ and above all crazy good price. I set it up right next to the AOC cq27g2 which I have been used about 1.5 year. It did not had dead pixel and there were bit of IPS light bleeding but not too crazy and was not impacting my gaming at all. No issues for QC. However It didnt really gave me better experience compare to AOC CQ27G2 which priced very similar to this HP X27Q. It had more like very similar color and clearness and gaming performance with AOCs VA panel. I hoped IPS gave be different feeling and experience than VA but I am not seeing much Upgrade. Also when I turn on HDR I also getting high pitch sound as other reviewers mentioned as Coil whine and HDR didnt make any difference watching movies/ videos. Look other if you really into HDR. For the price I am very very happy with HP X27Q. Recommend for entry level IPS gaming monitor.
