Excellent little processor. All my games run so much smoother (especially fallout 4 and mass effect Andromeda). I was expecting a boost in performance going from an AMD FX-8370 to an I7-8700 but not that much of one. Even unity doesnt crash every time I do something new anymore!

I suppose if I were a Windoze guy, this may be a fine chip. Im not a gamer, so the build in graphics should be fine for me. Ubuntu/Linux Mint is NOT ready for this chip! Activating the graphics was a nightmare! I was eventually able to obtain open source drivers from Intel, and did get it working, but it was not easy.

Powerful processor with new motherboard and lots a ram makes for speed. I thought my previous setup was fast and it was, but this is significantly more chipper.

Intel came to the 6 core party with the 8700k. At 400$ this processor is worth every penny .

Great little processor for the money. The one I got is plenty fast with a stock 20% overclock. I think the only way to get a faster processor at the moment is to spend nearly 3x the amount of one of these. Or have the patients to wait for next years Intel lineup.
