> 3 dayI am used to Alphametals made in Brazil. The trade mark is BEST and it is really the best. This one from Kester is not good at all. The flux core is not continuous, so when you stat soldering, some spots go fine and some dont. I need to use extra SMD flux paste to finish the job, what takes longer and compromises the quality. I would say do not buy, but these company took over the market and that is the only option we have. The other option is to import from BEST in Brazil.

> 3 dayI had always used the cheapest solder I could find until I had some instruction from an electronics teacher with some good quality Kester solder. The difference is huge. I had some cheap solder with Chinese writing on it and tried it side by side with the Kester and the ease of use is very noticeable. This stuff melts more easily, flows where it should, and doesnt make those nasty blobs with tails. I had been thinking I was doing something wrong getting ugly solder joints. Turns out crap solder makes crap joints. Kester solder (with the right ratio) makes excellent solder joints.

> 3 dayI only use Kester solder. The 0.020 diameter is better for working on smaller PC board components.
