I have carried this bag to and from work for at least the past month, maybe two. It has held up so far as one would hope for a leather bag. First off, this bag came very dry and stiff, although it did seem like some kind of vegetable oil had been applied to it at some point, maybe just too little of it. The initial color was a light brown, even close to tan. I heated up some coconut oil and spent an hour or two rubbing it into the leather. It soaked it up like a starving child in Africa, and softened significantly, so it seems to have badly needed it. My attached images reflect the darker color that resulted, which I actually prefer. It became more of a reddish brown. The darker stain on the flap is just the result of a recent greasy hamburger accident. I assume it will lighten up again like the rest in a week or two. For the price, it appears to be rather well made. The stitching isnt perfect, but it isnt unsightly, even close up. The leather is supple once oiled properly. The canvas interior seems nice enough to me and the pockets/pen holders all seem to be well thought out and implemented. It fits my 13.3 work laptop, in a neoprene sleeve, perfectly with room to spare. In a pinch I often even stuff 2-3 Chromebooks inside with it. For those who have the compulsion to use a mouse, I imagine the front pocket would fit even a large mouse with some finagling. I do, however, have a few small gripes: 1) The brass/plated wire bracket that holds the strap on the top of the bag sometimes seems to break free of the leather and needs to be reinserted into it (I have included a picture). Maybe this is still a good balance between solid construction and easy disassembly for cleaning/oiling, but it bothered me enough to bring sturdiness to 3 out of 5 stars. 2) The keepers for the strap are not tight enough and just slide off of wherever you try to place them without doubling up the tail (I included a picture of how I got around this). 3) The shoulder pad is also fairly loose and will slide around wherever it likes until you go to shoulder the bag again. 3) Once adjusted to the shortest length possible, the bag still sits a little bit lower than I would like as I like to carry messenger bags in the small of my back, out of the way. Im around 62 and it still dangles down around my hips so I imagine the design did not intend on this sort of carrying method. I may try to punch another hole or two in the strap to make it just a bit shorter. 4) The buckle lies very close to the shoulder pad and may even end up beneath it on longer settings. Overall, this bag is worth the money in my opinion. Good for something you want to look good and still be functional, but cheap enough that you wont mind destroying over time with use/abuse. The classic-looking buckles, which can be used either just like traditional buckles, or as quick detach button clip, are convenient when youre in a rush. I have a leather messenger bag I reserve for my home gaming laptop that I paid at least twice as much for. You can tell that it is better made, out of better materials, but the fancy velvet-like interior is likely not as durable as the heavy duty canvas in this bag, and it cost too much to make tossing it casually around reasonable (which I suppose is a benefit when the laptop I carry within it cost me $1,500). This is a great work/backup bag.

I decided that at 51 years old, I deserved to carry something a bit more dignified than a standard-issue fabric computer-branded bag for my daily items and carry-on bag. I couldnt be more pleased with the quality of this bag for the price I paid. Leather is supple and beautiful, contrasting lining makes items easy to find, and the spring-loaded buckles under the belt straps make quick retrieval of items in an airport easy. It also easily fits underneath the seat in an airplane while holding my laptop, reference manuals, wireless mouse, work phone I never use when I dont have to, and latest novel Im reading to drown out airport life. I suppose my only complaint is that the strap is a bit long (Im 61 and have it adjusted on the lowest setting) and the shoulder pad doesnt stay put, but this is nothing that cutting off the excess strap and a discrete stitch or concealed zip tie wont solve. Just get this. For the price you will be amazed.

I was impressed with this bag as soon as I unwrapped it. I tried an 18 bag, and then a 13 version. The former looked like a suitcase, and the latter looked like a purse. I returned both and got this 15 bag. Though all were different brands, they all had the same style of construction, leather color, liner material, and hardware. It would seem they all come from the same manufacturer, but this 15 bag is superior to the others in several ways. This one has quick-release buckles, a little bit of padding inside, the stitching is straighter and more uniform, and the leather (especially the shoulder strap and pad) seems a bit thicker. So far, I am very happy with it.

I opened my messenger bag a few hours ago and I already had to buy myself one of the satchels just now and my bf just got the black laptop bag. OMG the quality of this bag for the price is unreal. Also, for anyone who’s concerned: I have an overwhelmingly good sense of smell and there’s absolutely no funky smell on this bag at all. It smells like a new leather bag from the mall. If you’re on the fence, buy it. You won’t regret it. Plus it comes with a very sweet note inside. Come on!

All-in-all Im not upset with the purchase. I was under the impression that I would have more space. For example, my 13’ laptop barley fits in the laptop compartment and the most I can fit in the rest of the bag is a small notebook and maybe a book. The front pocket won’t be of much use either. Otherwise the quality is nice.

Ive used this bag for 4 years, during which time its been thrown around, slept on, had drinks spilled into it, been chewed by dogs, been frozen, was left in the dash of a car during a heatwave, and caught me when I slipped off a walking trail. Not only is it still truckin, but now I feel like a grizzled cowboy with the same hat hes been wearing for thirty years.

This is my second bag from Komal Passion Leather - I have a similar one for my tablet. Absolutely my favorite bags and the price is great based on what you get. Each bag is unique in color and clearly handmade. You receive the bag within its own cloth bag and a letter from Komal on fine paper - it really feels like rich experience. The bags are well made and very sturdy. I personally waterproof them, but most likely not necessary if you let them dry out. The bag looks and feels premium. Ive had my first bag for a year, and needed to replace my laptop bag, so it was a no brainer.

The bag is perfect! Fits a 15 inch laptop perfectly snug. You wont get away putting a 16 incher in there (maybe diagonally) The bag came wonderfully packaged with A LOT of care. All the buckles and metal parts were meticulously wrapped in padding. A personal two-sided letter written by the owner and designer was included detailing CARE INSTRUCTIONS and facts about leather. By the way, some people have complained about the bags leather appearing lighter than in the picture. DO NOT WORRY - the leather starts to darken the moment you start using it. This is a terrific product from a really friendly company!

So I was looking for bag for my Christmas present to myself. Looked at many much more expensive and happened on these on Amazon. The bag received looked just like the pictures. Maybe nicer. First a couple of things. Yes the strap hooks on the main flap have quick release catches and yes the shoulder strap is removable. The bag has an exterior zippered pocket in the front under the flap, It has an interior zippered pocket on the back and a zippered pocket on the rear exterior. It has three interior dividers with the center section padded to protect a lap top or what ever is placed there. My Mac Book Pro fits nicely in the center section. The bag is shipped with a dust cover (similar to a ladies high end purse) and is very well packaged. The protection of the hardware is somewhat difficult to remove and car must be taken to protect the hardware during removal. Overall I would say it is an extremely nice bag and and excellent value. I am waiting for it to patina with age.

I dont ever review, but I did a lot of reading before buying this bag. First impressions - fantastic quality, smell is not enough to even get my attention (my dog was excited about the package so it is leather), perfect size for my 13 macbook, enough storage to make me happy - Im a teacher so Im thinking files of papers, a few small books. I will return if issues develop to update, but for the moment - Im excited!
