This is a good case--it feels sturdy and well-padded. All seams are clean and finished well. The outer shell is stiff--not a true hard shell, but holds its shape against moderate forces, and protects without being absolutely rigid--I like the shock-absorbing compromise between too hard and too soft--this one is just right.

perfect for that portable hard drive!

Purchased for WD Black 5TB external hard drive. Hard drive fits snug in case. The elastic bands are permanently affixed in the case, so you have to pull them out to slide the device under. I would prefer a Velcro strap or something more conducive to carrying my drive. Other than that, all seems as expected.
