Bought this for my 2 TB western digital my passport for Mac external drive. The drive fits in with the cable ok. Sort of a tight fit but it appears to be well protected with the extra padding in it. Its a little bulkier than the case logic one I have for my other drive but this one has lots more padding so should offer better protection.

I wasnt expecting much from this case but I have to say, its pretty darn awesome! I bought this for a WD 4TB hard drive and it fits perfectly! I plan to buy 2 more for my other hard drives. :)

I had to check my bag with my hard drive and the airlines did a number on almost everything in my bag. That being said, my hard drive emerged unscathed amongst a variety of broken things. I highly recommend, especially with airlines forcing passengers to gate check carry-on luggage due to added seats = less space for carry on luggage.
