Firm and stable. It does look a bit too skinny to hold anything other than ipad in the first impression but it proves its quality. I bought it to hold my ipad but ended up using it to hold my Zenbook 13inch (same weight and size like Macbook Air). And no complaint! The base is made very stable. Weve an IPad 5th generation and this stand works great with it and also with our IPhone Xs. Just pop it out of the box and its ready to go. The arm is very adjustable, but firm enough that it doesnt move after you get the right angle set. Its really perfect for holding the IPad when your cooking or baking. Its very sturdy and has some stickers in strategic places to keep the IP from moving around and they include extra replacement stickers.
