> 3 dayThe plug itself seems to have no issues. The issue is with the Leviton App. When I setup the schedule in the app, it would not turn on the lights when it was supposed to. I later determined that if I set the schedule to 6pm, the lights would actually turn on at 7pm, even though my phone time was setup correctly. Called Leviton and support representative has no idea. Was forwarding to his manager to see why it would do that. I even downloaded the latest update, uninstalled and reinstalled all the devices, but no luck.

> 3 dayAfter having great success with the new Z-wave+ products from Leviton I decided to try out a wifi plug in outlet and I am happy to say that this device is just as reliable and easy to use as all of my other Leviton products. The biggest stand out feature of this Plug in outlet is the fact that since it operates on Wifi it does not need a Zwave hub (smarthings or Wink) to function. I think this is an amazing option for a lot of people that dont want to invest in getting a home automation hub and want to just use their wifi as the control. Set up was a breeze, followed the simple start guide, got the My Leviton app and was up and running in under 2 minutes. Since this is an appliance control (On/Off) and not a dimming module like the other module Leviton sells, I decided to use this to turn on my coffee maker every morning. Setting a schedule to do this in the My Leviton is SUPER simple. I look forward to having my coffee waiting for me every morning! Lastly, I set up Alexa control for the switch. Like most Alexa skills, you just add it in the smart home section of the app, enter your My Leviton credentials, and you are ready to go. Now whenever I want to turn the switch on or off all I have to do is ask Alexa to turn what I named the switch on or off. Wohoo! Thank you Leviton for making such an easy to use product!

> 3 dayIve had automated lighting in my homes since the 1980s, using X-10, then Insteon. As an electrical engineer, Im acutely aware of the extreme transients that can occur on household power lines, and the damage they can do to poorly-designed electronics. Smart dimmers connect directly to the power lines without any transformer, and so are particularly susceptible to this kind of damage. I dont want to think about how many crappy X-10 and Insteon dimmers, controls, and switches Ive had to replace over the years. My point is, dont even think of buying from anyone but a highly-trusted name like Leviton. Youre making a big commitment in time and money, and youll have to live with this stuff, hopefully for a long time. So far this system has worked perfectly for me. Setup is easy, the app is good, and integration with Alexa works perfectly as well. The functions are well though out and include thoughtful features like being able to turn off the LED for a darker house, and returning to a preset brightness level when turned on. I hope Leviton will expand the product line to include additional items such as an outdoor-rated switch for controlling landscape lighting, an RF/IR repeater for ceiling fan, air conditioner, etc. control. Its a drag to have to use other vendors, as you end up with a zillion different apps for different devices.

> 3 dayGreat addition to my home! I purchased the Leviton Decora Smart Wifi Plug-in device specifically to control a table lamp in my entry way. We live in an large apartment building, our front door is accessed by an interior hallway. There are no windows in this area and its dark this time of year when we leave for work and return home. It feels safer and really so much more welcoming to come home and have the entry way lit. I also love not having to worry about leaving the lamp on all day and wasting electricity. Now my lamp turns on for about hour in the AM while Im getting ready for work, turns off after I leave and then is back on at sunset. The sunrise / sunset feature is genius! When the days start to get longer I wont even have to worry about adjusting my schedule, it will just keep working perfectly for what I need. And I paired it with our Amazon Alexa so as Im heading to bed I just tell her Alexa, turn off the hall way light. So easy! Setup took a minute or two. I simply plugged the device in the wall outlet, plugged in my lamp, downloaded the app. The app walked me through connecting to my home wifi and everything was up and running in a couple minutes. I also like that I can connect Levitons other products to the same app and control everything with Alexa too. I will probably look into the Decora Smart dimmer switches for my living room and bedroom as well. Also, I like that everything can be controlled over my own home wifi and the app. No need for an hub which is an extra step and an extra cost that I dont feel i need. I went with the Leviton product over other similar plug-ins for a couple reasons. I liked the way the this one looked vs some of the others, it seemed more sturdy. Leviton is also a well known brand when it comes to outlets and switches so I felt confident this product would be well made and it is. Plus they give a 5 year warranty! I wasnt seeing that offered with some of the other brands. Overall, a great answer to my problem of a dark entry way in my home. Easy to setup and it works exactly as it should. Couldnt be happier with my purchase and I might get another for my mom. She noticed it while visiting during xmas and thought she might like one for a lamp in her living room.
