> 3 dayOne of these days, zero star reviews will be available. The LG 34UM60-P monitor looks good on paper, however, does not truly deliver the quality screen/pixel resolution that it advertises. It just makes things bigger. More frustrating, the internal speakers do NOT operate and LG currently is not offering Customer Service. In lieu of writing a poor review first, I thought Id give LG Customer Service the opportunity to troubleshoot/resolve this issue by sending them an email, then calling them, then attempting to use their OnLine LiveChat engine. All 3 methods failed. This monitor is advertised to be equipped with internal speakers and the product manual includes instructions for the internal speakers. The speaker grills are located on the bottom of the screen frame on either side of the monitor stand/mount. Out of the box, the internal speakers do NOT operate. Sound does operate with monitor volume control through the HEADPHONE JACK located at the rear lower center of the monitor. LG Customer Service 800-243-0000 isnt helpful as they are closed at 230PM PDT!!!!! Really? If I do not hear from LG in 24 clock hours, then this product will be returned to Amazon as DEFECTIVE. The online LG LiveChat is too busy to place a Chat request in the queue, however, it will lie to you and say you are in the queue when youre really not. Message from LG LiveChat: All LG Live Chat Agents are busy assisting other customers. You will be placed in the chat queue for the next available Agent. Thank you for your patience. Our Chat hours are 7am-Midnight CST Monday thru Friday. Please Contact Us to email or Live Chat with an LG Support Representative. Or, call Customer Service at 1-800-243-0000. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing LG Live Chat.

> 3 dayI will admit ...when I took it out the box, I got very excited. Love the size.... looked to be built tough but as you can see its not. Also those pics they have up should be considered false advertising. No dual hdmi and no display port...... hurts my heart to have to now go spend money to get another one. Might go for asus but definitely will be avoiding the seller I got this from.

> 3 daySo I shopped around quite a bit before landing on this wide screen. In my price range I finally decided that LG was the best fit but then I was amazed at how many different models there were just in the 34 size! The reason I chose this one? There were certain features I thought were critical in choosing an entry level wide screen monitor: 1) Size, 34 seems to be the sweet spot. Not sure why someone would buy a 29 widescreen. Seems like a waste for what youd get. 34 on the other hand provides a pretty amazing viewing experience. 2) The Display Port connection. The monitor for my other computer is a 27 4K with a Display Port and it does make a huge difference. Using HDMI you cant get the 60mghz needed to obtain the kind of picture youd want with this widescreen experience. 3) The price was certainly right! The higher end wide screens with 144ghz rates are just too expensive. At $300, this particular LG model is a fantastic value IMHO. 4) Yes this model does force you to give up having an adjustable stand but Ive rarely used the adjustment with my previous monitors so I dont really miss it here. 5) Easy setup with the ability to customize. This unit was easy to setup and adjust for all of my games. It is a terrific gaming monitor for casual gamers like myself. I do wish the power / setup button was in a different place, but Im used to it now. All in all, I dont think you can go wrong with this monitor. Im very happy with my purchase. And the delivery was right on time with the unit was received in perfect unopened condition, exactly as described. So unless you want a top of the line monitor for some big time gaming or video work and have upwards of $1,000 to spend , I think this would be a really good choice.

> 3 dayI came into the office this morning and plugged in my MacBook Pro to my 2 LG (29UM59A-P) monitors and all was good. 30 minutes into my day one of the monitors became flush with brightness with a darker splotch in the bottom right hand corner. In the time it took me to comprise the message to the Amazon seller asking about warranty (I bought this monitor in Apr 2019) the screen started going nuts projecting iridescent colors from the corner which used to be black. Minutes later I smelled smoke and looked down to see the bottom right hand corner of the panel smoldering. Thankfully I was sitting at my desk and was able to unplug the monitor before the burning escalated. What if I had walked away? What if it happened in the middle of the night? I called u/LG support to let them know that their product started on fire - and they responded like this is a pretty regular call they take. The first gal was nice - did actually apologize a couple times - took down all of my information, had me upload images (attached), and finished with a resounding you will need to pay for a technician to come out to diagnose the issue. Say what?! Your product - started on fire(!) - and I need to pay for a technician to evaluate it?! I then got transferred to the escalation department where things took a turn from moderately sympathetic to just straight business. They agreed to send a tech out for free (oh, how kind) and determine if the damage can be repaired. Yes, I am super interested in you repairing my monitor which caught fire. The bigger question is - how common is an LG screen burning? I have an identical monitor sitting right beside the burn victim - when is its time? I have an LG OLED on the wall at home with my pregnant wife and toddler - if it starts smoking she wont unplug it she will grab our little one and get out. Call me old fashioned but my assumption with consumer electronics is that fire should be extremely rare and when it does occur the manufacturer representatives should be aghast and sympathetic. Am I wrong in that assumption? Buyer beware when looking at LG products - hopefully this is rare, gladly it was caught quickly - but, lesson learned.

> 3 dayIts not big and not small, perfect fit for your eyes. Crystal clear FHD display. I love this monitor. It would be good to have height adjustment capability.
