> 3 dayThe reason I got this particular monitor is because Id purchased its smaller, older sibling, the LG 29UM-68-P, and been extremely happy with it. Its basically the 2016 29-inch version of this monitor. Both are incredibly bright and crystal clear, and Ive never had a complaint about the 29 model. This one happens to be even cheaper (even at that time of this writing, $368 vs $299), so I thought, why not? For the most part, Im pleased with it, though color accuracy leaves something to be desired. Not only can I now see that the 29 model has a slight red cast, Im left with a slight green cast on the 34 (hard to see in the photo, but its there). Ive fiddled with settings but never been able to get either of them to match or get one or the other closer to pure white. I have half a mind to get a colorimeter because frankly it drives me a little nuts. Also, either because of the sheer size or because people complained, the VESA mount doesnt partially block the video connections (looking at you, 29) - everything is easily accessible. If this will be your *sole monitor* then I couldnt recommend it enough. If this will add to an existing monitor you might want to look elsewhere, or be prepared to spend time fidgeting with controls to get it to look right. Still, all that being said, I do love it, and if the news that NVIDIA will be adding Freesync compatibility in an upcoming driver release is true, Ill be even happier when gaming with it! Edit 1/15/19: The Freesync compatible NVIDIA driver released today and while its not one of the approved monitors it does appear to be working without any issues. I also bought a colorimeter but have yet to have any luck with it. Also, wanted to add that the joystick control is probably the easiest of any monitor control out there. Push away from you for up, towards you for done up to enter/select. I dont have to try and remember how to use it - its that intuitive.

> 3 dayCheap little wide screen. The overall screen looks pretty good. Even though it is a 29 inch, but it look so small. but small then I expect. I have tried it different game, the screen couldnt handle it. But again, I didnt buy for game. I buy for a certain medical software what I use. It serves its purpose. But it is nothing to praise about this monitor. I really dont like the wabble feeling of the monitor. It is so unstable. But overall , it has no problem and it works well with what I do.

17-12-2024I’m not a gamer, but write a lot of documents and tend to have them side by side. I didn’t have the ability to put two monitors on my current monitor arm so I went with this ultrawide one and am happy I did. I’m even considering replacing a other monitor with this one. It’s a great monitor for me.

> 3 dayThinner and lighter than I expected. True plug and play, my windows PC recognized it with zero setup. The tabletop stand is effective (stable, tilt, no rotation) but unattractive IMO. I’m going to buy another for a different room and wall mount it since it is vesa compliant.

Greater than one weekBest by far for a pick when looking for a larger screen monitor for your computer.

> 3 dayI like the screen divide as it does it on its own. Sometime it takes a few minutes to realize to do so

> 3 dayI came into the office this morning and plugged in my MacBook Pro to my 2 LG (29UM59A-P) monitors and all was good. 30 minutes into my day one of the monitors became flush with brightness with a darker splotch in the bottom right hand corner. In the time it took me to comprise the message to the Amazon seller asking about warranty (I bought this monitor in Apr 2019) the screen started going nuts projecting iridescent colors from the corner which used to be black. Minutes later I smelled smoke and looked down to see the bottom right hand corner of the panel smoldering. Thankfully I was sitting at my desk and was able to unplug the monitor before the burning escalated. What if I had walked away? What if it happened in the middle of the night? I called u/LG support to let them know that their product started on fire - and they responded like this is a pretty regular call they take. The first gal was nice - did actually apologize a couple times - took down all of my information, had me upload images (attached), and finished with a resounding you will need to pay for a technician to come out to diagnose the issue. Say what?! Your product - started on fire(!) - and I need to pay for a technician to evaluate it?! I then got transferred to the escalation department where things took a turn from moderately sympathetic to just straight business. They agreed to send a tech out for free (oh, how kind) and determine if the damage can be repaired. Yes, I am super interested in you repairing my monitor which caught fire. The bigger question is - how common is an LG screen burning? I have an identical monitor sitting right beside the burn victim - when is its time? I have an LG OLED on the wall at home with my pregnant wife and toddler - if it starts smoking she wont unplug it she will grab our little one and get out. Call me old fashioned but my assumption with consumer electronics is that fire should be extremely rare and when it does occur the manufacturer representatives should be aghast and sympathetic. Am I wrong in that assumption? Buyer beware when looking at LG products - hopefully this is rare, gladly it was caught quickly - but, lesson learned.

> 3 dayNice monitor, has a great picture and love that you can run multiple pages on same screen, can also have spreadsheet open and not have to scroll across screen to see tabs.
