Two 4oz. Tubes of Hookers Green acrylic paint were shipped on a box with two heavy blocks of canvas board. Two air pillows were included to prevent shifting. They popped and the tubes were badly chrushed. You need to know that air pillows are Inadequate protection. I’m out couple of ounces of paint and a brand new manicure. You owe me.

I bought the bronze color paint. I chose it going by the color shown in the photos rather than what they named the color (risky, I know) because I wanted something copper-toned that wasnt *too* red or pink, but more of a natural copper color. This fits the bill. The paint is a reddish brown penny color under normal light, not a yellowish brown color like actual bronze usually is -- if youre looking for a bronze color. However, when light reflects straight off of it, sometimes it can have a golden/bronze cast depending on the angle. The paint isnt super thick, it goes on evenly and smoothly. If you want really good coverage, youll need to put on more than one layer of paint, and preferably over a darker color. I did swatches of 1, 2, and 3 layers on black and white sketch paper using a soft brush. Getting a good photo was impossible because of the metallic reflection. I took one with light overhead and one without. Overall it would be better if it was more pigmented, but its really not bad for what it is. Im planning on using it for decorative purposes anyway, probably with a copper-toned or brown basecoat and this on top.

We had this plaster fish that was just a dull white. We decided to paint it and I think the irredescent white looks so much better.

This is a wonderful color. Its beautiful when you make it lighter along with its a good base to start mixing to make different colors of blue

I use liquatex on all my models and dioramas. It’s a good quality acrylic latex paint and a good value!

I only started painting a year ago, and I tried the “ professional “ brands along with this Liquitex Basics “student brand”. For about a third of what the professional brands cost, I found this paint to be my favorite over all! Creamy and vibrant. I love them!

Ah, in the old days acrylic paint was substantial and very thick. Now, even the heavy body acrylics are so full of water and suspension that it takes a ton of practice to find out how much you need to mix colors with any accuracy. Semi-transparent. Sloshy. Soup-like is a slight exaggeration but not by much.

For some reason, Burnt Umber is a popular color this year because I had a hard time finding it in my favorite medium, which is chalk paint & Ive even bought acrylic burnt umber & made my own chalk paint, but I couldnt find it for MONTHS locally so when I completely ran out I remembered Amazon! Lol! And again, my options were limited. I have other colors in this brand that I picked up along the way or people gave me, but Ive never used it. So, I gave it a try bci really needed to finish a bunch of projects I had already started & hoped it all matched. It came in pretty quickly and when it did, I got to work! I wasnt so sure bc it is rather thick for someone used to working with acrylic paint, but that was a nice surprise bc I usually thicken it with plaster of paris or powder! I mostly use Burnt Umber to make Faux rust or a grungy, old, rusty, rustic look and this paint was perfect for that! I also like to use Burnt Umber for my Faux chocolate... Like the little Chocolate Pudding dessert cups as seen in the Pic. It makes a perfect chocolate color esp if youre mixing it with a solid white medium! And because its a nice solid color and thick paint, it doesnt water the whole project down! If you are NOT a painter and are more of a crafter that sticks to mainly acrylic or chalk paint, dont be afraid to venture out of you are having a hard time finding a certain color. This paint, although Im sure more used for paintings, it works great for crafting too. I highly recommend and will Def be buying this brand more often in the future.
