I want to get back into oil painting, and some of my canvases are used. This ground is perfect for covering an old painting so I can start anew.

Spreads nicely and self-levels with a paint brush. Drys pretty quickly, completely transparent and surface is nicely prepped for painting.

Once you try gesso youll wonder how you ever lived without it. It has so many uses for many mediums and I just love it.

I haven’t used it yet but it was delivered spilled, and leaking.

This black gesso has full coverage! I bought a paint retarder and Im going to try it in colors to paint over dry black gesso on canvas. Id like to have that underneath color to see if it makes painting clouds or water or even snow, easier. Hoping it creates the shadows all in one stroke because of the color over the black gesso.
