This bowl rates two stars for the size and material; I like both. The problem I have with this bowl is that you need at least 3 hands to attach it to the cage. One to hold the bowl, one to keep the bolt in place and one to attach the outer plate/nut. It can be done with two hands but I find it very frustrating and usually spill the water or drop the nut. Be careful when tightening the nut. My husband had it too tight and around 2 am in the morning I heard a loud noise. The outer plate broke and went flying, the bowl dropped down in the cage and sent water everywhere (inside and outside the cage).

Use these as food bowls for my ferrets as they are bad for burying a dish on floor, get shavings in amongst their food etc. This solves problem. Well made product, dish removes from bracket for cleaning and easy refilling.

Very nice & very sturdy bowl! If you have a biter though, it takes a few seconds to get it in place before you can screw it in. But the quality is awesome & quick & easy to unscrew.

I have used these types of dishes for my Sun Conures, small pumpkins I slice the top off and scrape all the seeds out and fill with mixed veggies and other fresh fruit mixed with veggies, she loves to eat her dinners in the pumpkin and chews up the pumpkin shells and throws the pieces of course! Se eats some of the raw pumpkin also, makes for a happy happy bird!!

the grooved piece of plastic that goes on the outside of the cage to keep it attached snapped right in half while my rabbit was using the bowl! a rabbit can only put so much pressure on a bowl. it was not her fault. fragile bowl!
