> 24 hourThis was very cute until we looked over and noticed the 1 year old had a huge wooden shard in his mouth! He had just received it as a gift that day so it must have splintered the first time he dropped it. I’m not sure what is going on here because Melissa and Doug toys are usually a lot higher quality than this. Don’t be fooled by the adorable images on this shape sorter. It’s not worth the risk!

> 24 hourMy son had a lot of fun with this toy but the wood snapped after only a 12 days of use and he wasn’t even that rough on it

> 24 hourThis shape sorter is one of the worst I have seen. I like that it is wood (I love wooden toys) but even the quality of the wood is not very good, the wood splinters in several places, and there was a fairly strong glue odor when I first opened it. The side that opens up to get the shapes out slides out very easily, there is nothing holding it in place while you are dropping the shapes in from the different sides, so it keeps falling out whenever you turn the cube. So when your child tries to turn the cube to the next side to put the blocks in, it just slides open and everything falls out. Very poor design and frustrating to play with. Save your money and buy one of the better shape sorters out there. This one is going straight to the donation pile.
