I purchased this bag for my Dell XPS laptop which is also a 17.3 screen.. the bag fits perfectly and have plenty of space for other things like power brick, mouse, etc.. and also things you would carry with you traveling or even back and forth from work. Quality of bag is great and everything. Price on Amazon is much better than buying direct from Dell.

I bought this for my Alienware M17xr4. Many of the reviews were talking about how big this is, and how there is soo much extra space that they wont use... I have the opposite feeling. Once I load up the laptop, the charger, mouse pad, mouse, and xbox controller, there is almost no room to put anything else in. and the only non requirement that Im packing is the xbox controller. There are tons of unused pockets, but the whole bag feels super full and tight with just these few items packed. I am very mindful of the force that the bag is exerting on the top of the laptops screen. I feel that if I were to cram more in the bag there would be too much force on the top of the screen. The middle section of the bag has filing dividers which is where I stick the mouse pad. The front section has pockets that fit the mouse and charger, the controller fits in this big pocket. The pocket on the front of the bag is useless as it is too tight. The shoulder strap seems alright. Also, other reviews talk about how great the laptop protection is, but I feel quite the opposite. The laptop is in this clear tough pocket with seems to scuff the outside of the laptop with normal use. Also, I am not impressed with the amount of padding around the laptop. I believe that even an accidental drop of about 1 to 2 feet from your hand could damage the laptop with this minimal protection. Also if you stack anything on this bag your laptop screen could be smashed, especially if the pockets are loaded up, so keep it on your person, dont trust anyone else with this bag. I find it a little difficult to get my laptop in and out of the bag, I really dont like the laptop holding pocket, feels like junk. I wish there was an actual padded pocket for the laptop, instead you have a little pouch that is not padded. This is just my opinion. It does fit all of my stuff, just dont think that you will have all the storage in the world available to you, which is what some of the other reviews make it sound like. I bought this new, but still pretty cheap. I recommend getting this at a discount.

Never thought that it would be hard to find a case for a 17.3 laptop. Most cases rated for 17 are made for exactly that: 17 and nothing more. Had found a Targus messenger case that I liked, but had very little in the way of storage. Thanks to fellow Amazon reviewers I went with this case and after 3 months of use am very happy with it. Pros: - 17.3 HP Dv7‑6c95dx fits perfectly - Has everything I wanted from a case, and nothing I didnt - Very well padded in all respects - Very sturdy; I havent been easy on it, but nothing on it has aged a bit - Plenty of pockets and storage. I can easily carry all the client files and notes that I need - USB and memory storage pockets are a nice touch - Shoulder strap is padded and feels reliably sturdy - Case looks good, have had several good comments - Lays flat for airport scanners - Still fits under seats on airlines - Really like the hardened front pocket for carrying phones and other small vulnerables Cons: - Zippers can be difficult around corners. My Targus case never snags - Could have had a better padded shoulder strap, especially since the case will get heavy with a full load. Targus case had a more comfortable shoulder pad Would highly recommend this bag for those with a large laptop and amply storage requirements.

Its suppose to fit a 17.5 inch Alienware lap top but it doesnt. The back part of the lap top is a little wider and its a very tight fit when I put it in the bag.

You can stuff so much stuff in this thing its practically ridiculous. Large, well constructed and thoughtfully laid out. Its an excellent gadget bag for travelling and youll be able to take all that you need to keep you from getting bored, or to stay productive on long trips.

There arent many bags out there that fit the 17 M17x laptop. This is sturdy and well built and fits the laptop perfectly. It also has room for other accessories, paper, a notebook, etc. There are many pockets for pens, USB drives, etc. However, the hooks/handles where the shoulder strap attaches to the bag seem slightly flimsy and squeak when carried.

I ordered this messenger bag for my husbands new Alienware computer. As it is a special size, it will not fit into normal computer bags. I looked on the bottom of the computer to find the computer size. Then, I looked for a bag made specifically for that size Alienware computer. This one perfectly fits the bill. It is heavily padded. There are lots of pockets to put specific items. My husband loves it!

Fantastic, sturdy bag. Easily fits my Alienware 17 laptop, adapter, tablet, books, snacks and other miscellaneous items. It has enough pen holders, pockets and compartments to suit all your needs. Be aware though that it can get surprisingly heavy when fully loaded. Its cushioned and padded enough that one wont worry if it falls from say a chair. I wouldnt want to drop it from a higher place though! I havent used the shoulder strap yet so I cant comment on the comfort of carrying it on your shoulder. The regular handle is holding up well and I regularly pack carry this thing around everywhere. Its a pretty good workout for your forearms! All in all I highly recommend this bag for the alienware 17 laptop.

This was a decent briefcase, until the strap broke because of the cheap metal that they used in order to save a few cents. Update: They have replaced the strap. Still, its disconcerting that Ive only had this bag for about 3 months and its already showing some wear and tear.
