Greater than one weekCurrently I use BenQ Zowie XL27s. They are 6 years old, 1080p, 120hz, and look great. I purchased this monitor because I finally got my hands on a 3080 and needed to upgrade my monitor to 2k. For the price, the specs you are getting on paper are amazing. First thing I really didnt like is the stand. It sits very low and there is no height adjustment at all. Its not terrible, but it is inconvenient. I booted it up and right away could notice the picture quality was off. I tried calibrating the settings (which all have to be done manually since this model has no presets, also inconvenient), and, after about an hour of trying, came to the conclusion that the pixels were misaligned. I believe it was most likely a factory defect with my unit. Given the affore mentioned inconveniences though, I will be selecting a different monitor.

> 3 dayIf this monitor seems cheap for a 1440p monitor its because it is. Im maybe 5 months into my monitor and I already have a dead line of pixels going across the top of my screen. if you want a great 1440p monitor thats going to last your going to have to spend a quality price. Not to mention all the ports are on the BOTTOM not the back the bottom. you have to flip this thing completely upside down to plug in new cables and its a huge pain in the ass, especially once youve already attached the stand. I personally will be looking for a different brand. MSI doesnt seem to make quality products like they used too. UPDATE: ive had this monitor less than 1 year and it is officially dead with Ghost image imprint. tried swapping between DP AND HDMI. no luck. Ill have to get a new monitor and I wont be buying from MSI

> 3 dayI was really looking forward to using this monitor and upon opening the box setting up the screen on my desk turning it on I was left disappointed because part of the screen is darker than the other half. I looked it up and it’s says my screen is broken and that I need to get a new one! How can you send out a broken screen! And now the screen won’t even turn on and says it has no signal!

> 3 dayI got this monitor for my desk setup as I’m a software engineer and like screen space. I also play some pc games on my downtime. It works great for both. 2k looks very good and has great refresh rate. Don’t need more than 165hz when running 2k. One thing I like is that it looks very elegant. Can blend in well at a office or a gaming setup. When I bought this monitor I was worried about getting broken pixels because of other reviews talking about quality control. This would have been a big problem for me as I am looking at this screen many hours a day while working. When the monitor arrived it was the first thing I checked. 0 broken pixels. No issues. Overall I think it’s worth it.

> 3 dayIts a great monitor, it really is, but I couldnt give it the 5 stars because the HDR ready part isnt accurate. This monitor does NOT come with HDR. If its not something you really care about then it wont be an issue.

> 3 day1) Gaming is a bit of a stretch. I have a slightly older MSI WQHD thats no longer available that was about the same price. Pretty much same bezel and panel, but it has way better gaming features in the built in monitor settings. No game mode settings. No RGB. 2) The power supply cable is non-standard for monitors. Its some cheap laptop charger brick instead with a very short cable and tiny round connector. I have a vertical dual monitor setup and the power brick is just hanging in the air. They cheaped out here and its basically impossible to get a longer cable since it is not any kind of standard.

> 3 dayI just want to say that first off, I never have written a review before. I dont believe I have ever been so dissatisfied with a product enough to feel the urge to write one. However, after buying this monitor THREE separate times, only ONE of the monitors have actually worked. First monitor had a black hole in the screen, and it would literally move around and expand. Obviously I had to return it. It was a hassle just to return the thing. The second one worked fine, every once in a while, if I clicked the power button, it wouldnt automatically turn on. Now, I just leave my monitor on. Now this third one, which I ordered to replace the first one, just came today and let me just say, I am either absolutely unlucky, or MSI just makes their monitors with terrible quality. The power button is literally jammed and wont turn on. Its stuck and theres nothing I can do without having to take it apart myself and fixing it, which I wont do because I ordered it and it should have come in decent enough condition for it to turn on at the very least. I understand more than anyone else that sometimes, defective products are manufactured and a customer just receives it. The simplest thing would be to just return it and get a new one. Except when that whole process alone takes a long time to do, not to mention that this has happened twice already. I am just more astonished that 2/3rds of the products that I have ordered from MSI have issues with them/came broken. Safe to say, I am not longer interested in trying a fourth time. The second monitor works fine and looks fine, aside from the power button issue where it just doesnt start up all the time. The simple fix was to leave it on. However, I would just buy a different monitor honestly. It sucks because otherwise, I would say this is a decent monitor, but I am not about to re-order a fourth one and pray that by some miracle, I dont get a defective product again.
