NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

Was having trouble with cheaper TP-Link unmanaged switches dropping down to 100mbps mode on long 300 foot cables. This switch has been maintaining a solid gigabit connection across the same cables.

Had an old 16 port Switch and it was giving me problems. Removed the old model and replaced it with this one and it worked right away without any installation of a driver or anything.

Excellent Production and Price

Netgear has the best consumer grade equipment you could ever need. This will easily expand you wired network if that is what youre seeking. Great metal design and very rigid and well built. Could be used for a hammer if wanted.

The switch allows me to hardwire several devices into my main access point. The ports meet my needs and I recommend it to anyone in need of more hardwire ports.

Worked for 3 days then stopped sending a signal to the garage. Wire fine, signal strength too low. Spec says its good for 3x the length.

I really wanted a managed router and what it would entail and Im pleased with the end result, but I found the Netgear mobile app a little limited and the web UI is also a little clunky. Unless Im just being dumb, once you click to go into the update firmware section, you cant get back. A good quick start guide to configuration (I know you need to plug it into the network and the power) would be welcome.

Has a 4 port has no issues, came across the 8 port for $16 cant go wrong there.

I like it it’s perfect

Even a dentist can set this switch up. Plug in the power. Plug in the ethernet cables. Transparently works.
