Ive bought many case fans for computers, none have been as silent and as well built as Noctua. They are expensive yes, but they are worth it, they last and they work well. If youre thinking of buying something like a Corsair or similar for $15, spring the extra and get this, it beats them handily. With most brands you pay something for looks, you can tell that isnt the case with Noctua, their colors and designs are utilitarian and purposeful, they were designed clearly by people who care about delivering a precision product that was designed to be the best.

I currently have 2 NF-A14 fans setup as intake on my system. They feel very well built and sturdy and do a fantastic job at keeping my system cool under pressure. I currently have them in a higher pressure environment as they have to pull in cool are through a mesh grill and a fine mesh foam in addition to that. I think this causes extra noise to occur and the fact the front of my computer essentially faces me. In this usage setup I dont hear the fans until they reach above 40% speed and even then once they are audible it is just a non-annoying low frequency hum. Although many people arent big on the brown I love the aesthetic I get of these through the dark tempered glass of my case. I would recommend these fans over and over again for use in 140mm scenarios. I may pickup an additional fan for my case as a rear-top exhaust.

These are great fans. Used them in a recent gaming PC build. Quiet, efficient, etc...

These 140mm fans outperform 120s. I dont know why but I love the brown color.
