> 3 dayI used this fan to blow air over a 4-HDD RAID in my desktop. It also helps draw in extra fresh air for my CPU. I mounted it to a custom 3D printed frame in the 5.25 bays of my computer case. It works well and definitely moves some air without being too loud.

> 3 dayNice and quiet at full speed just like a Noctue should be. Got 2 for rear exhaust on a Lian Li case.

> 3 dayReplaced the fan in an Icom IC-7300 HF radio. Was easy to do (thank you, YouTube) and works quite the treat. I keep an eye on my radios temp while sending. But so far, even though it moves less CFM, been well pleased.

> 3 dayI used this fan to replace the stock fan in my Icom IC-7300, which was quite loud during transmit. The Noctura fan is essentially silent. I cant hear it at all. If youre looking for a quiet fan, look no more, this is the one.

> 3 dayI used this Noctua NF-A8 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan to replace a functioning, but very loud fan. I had previously purchased a Noctua double fan unit for a CPU that was hitting Temps over 99C and it brought those Temps down to 54C - a very reasonable number. So it was so much easier to find a replacement side panel fan with the same name. With this fan my motherboard stays around 44C/CPU 48C (6 Core AMD Processor). This is important because I have computers that use folding@home software to fight a variety of diseases including COVID 19. The program is demanding so cooling is an absolute must. In the future should I need another fan - Noctua will be the brand!

Greater than one weekI needed an 80mm case fan for a 2U rack mount case. 80mm fans tends to be loud, but this one was definitely quieter but still pumped the air needed to cool the components. Wherever I can, I buy Noctua fans. I dont care for the color, so I would prefer they not be fans used in visible spots, and they do have a grey/black version (Redux) but its less powerful. I would buy this fan again for case needs.
