Noctua NF-A9 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (92mm, Brown)

> 3 dayI heard that this manufacturer was the best in their field, but I really didnt think much of it. So often when you hear premium you dismiss it as marketing tat. But truly, as soon as I opened the package it was clear this product is in a league of its own. The fan is made of sturdy plastic, the rubber shock absorbers feel made to last, and the wiring is in a sleeve that feels nice to manipulate. They could have easily had just the fan, and it would justify the cost, but it comes with a few extra wires to accommodate any use you could have for it. And though it isnt related to the product itself, the presentation of packaging was stellar and beautiful. For what is a $15 fan, I am blown away by the quality and consideration of this product, and will stick with Noctua whenever I need a cooling solution.

> 3 dayWow, this is so quiet that when I installed it to replace my foxconn 92mm exhaust fan (that was too loud and whiney) at first I thought it wasnt working. I can only hear it a tiny bit in the dead of night. It even lowered my cpu temp by 1 degree at heavy load. Im also using a Noctua NF-A8 PWM case fan on my Ryzen 3600 cpu so my HP Pavillion PC is now nearly as silent as my laptop (however my cpu temps went up a few degrees under heavy load with the lower powered Noctua 80mm fan so no overclocking with my current rig). Noctua fans are definitely worth the money for people who need a quiet computer.

> 3 dayNo wire brackets to mount secondary fan to heatsink radiator... so the fan is USELESS!! $

> 3 daySadly there’s no chromax of this specific model, but this is a great fan

> 3 dayQuiet as usual, but the fan frame is warped, not planar. Had to shim it in order to sit tight on the mounting face. This is what happens when legends are formed: quality goes down. Shame.

Greater than one weekReplaced my stock computer exhaust fan with this one. Easy to install and very quiet while being efficient at exhausting air out of my computer.

Greater than one weekCombined with a CRYORIG M9i cooler that replaced the old and dusty stock Intel cooler, this fan serves as an exhaust fan on the rear chassis. At max load with the most intensive transcoding x265 video tasks in Handbrake, the max rpm never exceeds 1300, and at idle and light web browsing, it hovers around 800 rpm. You simply do not hear it or feel any vibrations when its working when touching the case, but you can definitely feel the air coming out the rear exhaust of the case, keeping things nice and cool at 34-40 C and never above 70 C at max load. The difference it has made to the old Asus M11AD is like getting a new computer which operates so much more efficiently, especially with the added SSD boot drive from SK. Next Ill likely upgrade the PSU and Graphics Card in addition to another 92 mm fan mounted on the front of the case to keep things cool.

Greater than one weekNice fan: got it to replace a round 92mm CPU fan and for that I needed to make an adaptor. Would be nice if Noctua made the round version.

> 3 dayI have a number of desktop systems at my home, all of which I have built and assembled etc. I use Noctua fans exclusively. Why? Well the quality is unsurpassed, they move a good bit of air and they are quite and they work as designed and the design / quality is the best Ive seen. I could care less about the color of the fans or if they have lights or other effects. I care about the function and quality of the item itself. Never any issues with these fans and their CPU coolers too.
