Everyone should know Noctua and how great their fans are. The Chromax line brings the great Noctua performance without their signature beige/brown look. The fans are quiet, moves a lot of air, has great build quality, and the cables are wrapped for that extra quality feel.

Please avoid any cheap fan. The Noctua NF-S12A should be strongly considered and should be in every computer. The material feels nice and coming from 2x Corsair fans (37db) from their AIO cooler, the sound difference compared to the Noctua NF-S12A is significant. Consider the Noctua NF-S12A over any fan.

Noise level : If you want a very low noise level, buy this fan right away. Noctua will help you build a silent PC system.

Picked these up for intake fans and they function well, as all Noctua should. I have two mounted to the top of the case, but they arent quite as quiet as I had hoped (since the case is on the floor, next to me).

    Seriously amazing case fans.

I never had such noisy Noctua fans. At 600RPM it sounds the same as my two 90mm CPU Noctual fans at 1200RPM.

Great exhaust fan but not as silent as advertised. Possibly due to the shape of the grate around the exhaust mount in my PC, I get a lot of air movement noise from this fan at anything higher than 50% speed. Seems to move a decent amount of air but not as much as I was led to believe.

I ended up with 4 of these. Three to replace the original exhaust fans that came with my Antec P280 case 7 or 8 years ago and 1 for fresh air intake in the front. The old fans were just 3 pin fans with a high/low speed switch mounted to the rear of the case. These of course are 4 pin PWM fans regulated by the motherboard.
