> 3 dayIf youre dead set in using the Silverstone GD09 HTPC case, then this is the best air cooler you can get. This case doesnt support water-cooling radiators, I think they have a newer case that support it.

> 3 dayEasy to install, keeps 8700k cool with little effort. Fan is pretty quiet on it. Ability to have the fan mount above, below or both is great for tall ram or smaller pc cases

> 3 dayI went with the NH-C14S due to advertised limitations on cooler height with my Cooler Master Silencio 352 mATX case. I found out later that a taller cooler may have fit, but I dont regret the choice.

> 3 dayEvery CPU cooler I have ever purchased came with a back-plate, even coolers much cheaper than this one. This expensive cooler does not! They expect you to use the old back-plate that comes with your motherboard. Thats all fine, but my previous cooler is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO which is a great cooler, but I have my old back-plate in storage someplace and it would be a nightmare to locate. Why not just include a back-plate like everyone else? They include an Intel back-plate, but not an AMD. I had to go to the hardware store to jerry-rig it to work. Aside from that, this is a good cooler, although overpriced. The reason I wanted this cooler is so it will cool the VRMs and northbridge.

> 3 dayFitted well in the cooler master NR200P case, although my current setup is a 65TDP chip, the cooler keeps it below 60 degrees when fully loaded with Prime95.

I am using this on a 2700X CPU and a Tomahawk B450 Board and right now it is running at 105 degrees F ... It is quiet but then again I am not a gamer but it seems to do the job ... even when my CPU is maxed out I have only seen the temp. in the 120 Degree area, wish I could say the same for my GPU ... but it is a older one, to be replaced soon... If you have a M/ATX case it wont fit, I can tell you from experience ... one way it gets interfered with by the Blue Ray Drive and the other way by the rear fan... it is a big unit ... I see people complain about the colors of the fan, if that is the case order a 140MM that you like but I really like a quietness and I have maxed it out.... You can mount the fan on the top or on the bottom and yes it clears the memory .... Hope this helps guide your decisions ... I am really beginning to think on these reviews that some people just like to downgrade everything ... I am happy with everything in my system
