Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

Added this cooler to my PC replacing the one which shipped with my processor. I was not happy with the noise level of the existing one and replaced with this Noctua. Now the quietest PC I ever had. Love it!

Coming from liquid cooling I was a tad skeptical. But the cooler looks great in my case, not noisy, and keeps my 3800x temps around what I would get with an AIO. Great buy.

It took me about 15 minutes to install this unit. You MUST have access to the back of the motherboard, either by a removable panel or having the MoBo out of the case. The instructions are complete, and if you follow them step by step, this is an easy install. The fan is easily removed and reinstalled, which allows your fingers to get in where they need to be. My I7 CPU runs cool and I have no negatives at all.

All in all great cooler. At first I didnt believe all the hype about Noctua but I think Im going to be a loyal customer now. I was looking to replace the stock cooler on my Ryzen 5 3600 as it was just running a bit too hot with the stock cooler getting to 70c+ and staying there after an hour or two of gameplay or heavy work load. The install of this cooler was extremely simple compared to some of the beefy tower coolers I bought in the past. After the install the ryzen 5 3600 doesnt go past 60c underload if it does its quick put back to 50c range within seconds. The fan is extremely quiet and feels very high quality. The build of the cooler is solid. However I did bend one of the fins by accident (my fault I think though as the fan clips were putting up a fight) nothing major though. Im glad noctua finally made an all black cooler it looks great in my build. They give you everything you need (thermal paste, etc) for the install. You will need the AM4 original backplate that came with your mobo however.

I have one installed on my desktop to replace the original fan that burned after 5 years of continues usage, it works great; computer is nice and cool, and its very quiet, you can barely hear it...

Looks good and performs well on my Ryzen 5 3600.

I built a system with a Ryzen 3600. With the stock wraith and an overclock I was reaching 70°C. Since I slapped this bad boy on under heavy load my max temp is 45°. My only complaint is the way the fan clips to the radiator. But this seems to be the industry standard.

This is a great cooler for anyone who wants quiet performance. It is big enough to dispute enough heat that the fan a lot of times doesn’t have to run but small enough to fit in my h500i. Great overall cooler!
