Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

I recently upgraded my motherboard and got a new case. Looks great in the H510 Flow and keeps my 5600x cold. Thermals are great and and the cooler is silent during load

I purchased this cooler to cool an AMD Ryzen R5 3600 in a Fractal Design Meshify C case. The stock cooler for the 3600 is anemic (and loud) and the goal for this build was quiet operation. After reading a bunch of reviews, I opted for this cooler (even though it was more expensive than some of the Scythe options I was looking at and I love Scythe products) as the black color would look nice in the case and the emphasis in reviews on how silent it operated.

Was super exited to recieve my first noctua cooler as I have heard lots of good feedback on them, the cooler itself was nice to install and was fairly easy, I didnt love the mounting mechanism for the fan because it was a little tough for me to get off and bend a little, thats my fault though, even though the heatsink was good unfortunately the fan was not working properly, I did my research and did some diagnostics and it was not the motherboard but the fan. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a defect, but I still would love to try the fans another time.

Not really anything to dislike, though I did struggle a bit getting all the screws to catch at the same time during the initial install.

I liked how not loud it easy

Very easy to install and its very quiet. Probably one of the best coolers out there.

This is the best fan cpu cooler your going to buy, no doubt. Dont think about it just buy it. Works perfectly with my Ryzen x5800 and keeps it cool. Very happy.

I was weary about buying a new CPU cooler because I had actually had to switch back to my AMD stock cooler due to RAM clearance issues with my old cooler. Did some comparison shopping and found that the NH-U12S was well within my budget and the supposed cooling advantage was insane. It arrived a week early, and was easier to install than any other cooler Ive ever used - didnt even have to take out my motherboard! Cooling performance on my Ryzen 5 2600 is amazing, Im seeing resting temps of 33-39° and full load temps of no more than 63° (Cinebench R20) - a nearly 20° decrease from my stock cooler. I highly recommend this cooler.
