Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

Very quiet! Well built!

Installation did require removal of the mother board to install backer bracket but I knew this going into it. It allowed me to do a very thorough cleaning of the case, MB, video cards and PS. That being said, everything else was simple and fairly quick. The mounting system is rock solid and I dont worry at all about cooler movement. This fan cools much more efficiently at much lower rpm so theres alot less fan noise, as well as (so far) never having to go more than a very few rpms for my most taxing games. A major improvement, wish I hadnt waited to have an overtemp alert on the old fan before switching to this one. If youre going to go air and not liquid cooled, this is the way to go.

Ich bestellte den Noctua NH-U12S über Amazon direkt von Noctua als B-Ware, welche in der Artikelbeschreibung als sehr gut qualifiziert war vom Verkäufer. Angekommen ist es mit an den Ecken zerdrückter Artikelverpackung, was aber keinesfalls weder die Transportsicherheit noch meine Meinung über das Produkt beeinträchtigt. Denn der Kühler selbst war in einem einwandfreien, neuwertigen Zustand. Mit dabei war unzähliges Zubehör und Montierungskits für AMD- und Intel-Mainboards. Ich bin rundum sehr zufrieden. Nach der Montage und Verwendung der mitgelieferten Wärmeleitpaste sind meine CPU-Temps um rund 10 Grad gesunken. Zuvor verwendete ich den AMD Wraith Prism mit der bereits installierten Wärmeleitpaste. Der Kühler von AMD war nicht schlecht, aber trotz unzähliger Änderung der Lüfterkurve und sehr guter Gehäuse-Durchlüftung konnte ich die Temperaturschwankungen und Geräuschpegel des Kühlers nicht in den Griff kriegen. Jetzt ist alles super, höre nichts mehr und keine Temperaturschwankungen mehr. Meine CPU ist die Ryzen 7 2700X ohne OC.

This thing is a beast. I used the supplied thermal paste, rigged up another 120mm Noctua for rear exhaust in-line with this cooler, and setup 3 Cougar Vortex 140mm fans, one exhausting above and two for front intake. You need to put your head about half a foot away before you hear anything.

It works as advertised. The obvious good quality and attention to packaging may not justify the additional cost for everyone, but they do for me. Id be tempted to try the Cryorig H7 next time though to save money.
